Total Chaos!

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

What can we say about this orgy of automotive destruction? There’s a Daimler limo, a Jaguar XJ6 Coupe, and a slew of  other derby-prepped rides with wicked paint jobs. Then they circle wrecking each other until it’s over! Oh, and in a world where virtually all of the music in car videos completely sucks, this clip stands apart. Seriously, using the theme from the Exorcist? Brilliant!

NorthWest MogFest 2009

By David Belau

I still haven’t made it to NorthWest MogFest. Thankfully, my friends went again this year to prove how lame I am.

Mogfest started out as a gathering for Unimog owners to hang out and drive their machines. It’s grown into a gathering for all European off-road machines.

I’ll try to go next year and prove my manhood. Until then, enjoy the pictures my friends sent to me. (Special thanks to Doug, Luke, Art, Andy, Pete and the rest of the clan.)

The Biggest Front Diffuser Ever

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

Daimler’s Freightliner trucks displayed an aerodynamic concept last month. This is the biggest use of aero parts (in a literal sense) I’ve ever seen.

I usually don’t find much cool about trucks like this but to see functional aero in this context is pretty cool! Rather than for racing use, this truck concept uses aero for fuel efficiency during long hauls by lowering the aerodynamic drag. It also uses an electronic adjustable suspension that lowers at speed to get even better MPG. More pics after the jump!

Hoard Of Mossy Relics Discovered In Norfolk

By Jen Dunnaway

How’s this for an across-the-pond barn find: a reclusive mechanic in the UK countryside who passed away recently was found to be sitting on a goldmine of rare mostly-British iron. Thirty vehicles were found stashed within a series of dilapidated out-buldings on the property, with some scattered outside in the brambles. The mouldy rides will get a new shot at life after being auctioned off April 4. See more pics below the jump, and read more at The Sun and Mail Online. Via Jalopnik.
