Go Big Or Go Home In Texas
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
Texas is a state of “big” ideology. That bigger than life thinking and notion seeps into modern performance and street racing in many ways. Going big with vehicles like a supercharged SRT-10 Dodge Viper, twin turbo Ford GT, Procharged LS3 Corvette, and a GMC 1500 with SRT-10 Viper engine swap means these guys never have to go home. Behind the Scenes at Bullrun!
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
We’re only a few episodes into this season of the Bullrun, but some of the teams have started pulling some dirty tricks. That’s all well and good of course, this is Bullrun, not a Girl Scout meeting. But I have to say that I feel a little bad for some of the contestants. Not because their fellow competitors are screwing with them, but because it seems like some of the challenges have the potential to seriously screw up their rides. One example? In the latest challenge, the drivers had to ram their way through a locked gate. Now, that seems totally fine for team Hummer, but the Viper and Hemi Cuda teams might not have such an easy time of it. Check out this clip to see some behind the scenes footage.

Engine Note Ringtones From Royal Purple
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
The other day, I got a press release from Royal Purple touting their new engine note ringtones site, and today I finally got a chance to check it out. They’ve got some pretty sick ones available for download, including the Aston Martin DB 7, Dodge Viper, and Ford GT350 Super. Rob would probably go for the Road Runner, and since there isn’t a Ford Escort it’s unclear which Jen would want, but my favorite was the Ferrari 355 GTB. It’s really hard to beat Enzo’s Cavallinos in the music department.

BangShift.com
We were still hard at work here at the BangShift.com news desk Friday night, and that’s a good thing because that’s when Chrysler laid a press release in our paws which says they will not be selling the Viper brand and will continue production of the iconic bruising sports car. Hope springs eternal! Read the full press release after the jump.

London to Maranello and Back, In a Ford GT and a Dodge Viper
Automotive Traveler
One of the great things about the life I’ve led for the last 10 years as an independent editor is that I’ve put together some really great road trip adventures. And quite frankly, none was better than the trip I took back in the summer of 2005, driving a Ford GT and a Dodge Viper from London to the Nürburgring, then to the gates of the Ferrari factory in Maranello, then on to Le Mans, and finally back to London, all in six glorious days. In my mind, it’s the ultimate road trip and I had a great friend along for the ride. More…
