The Smoky Fox

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

As the world drift press is full of Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Monster Mustang, I thought it might be a cool idea to look at a slightly different drift ‘stang. This is Yves Faber’s idea of a drift machine, who hails from Luxembourg. You might remember a video I posted a while ago of this car on a hill climb track in Luxembourg. The motor is a 6.1L Ford V8 breathed on by a company called Redline. It pushes out around 450 ponies and a little over 700Nm of torque, enough to propel the 1300kg fox very very sideways.

Uphill Thrash

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

Having recently rebuilt his Fox body Mustang, pro drifter from Luxembourg Yves Faber decided to do a shake down on his car. Only his idea of a shakedown involves going very sideways up a fast yet twisty hill climb track in Eschdorf.

The car is a 1988 fox body Mustang with a 6.1l Ford racing V8 slightly breathed on by a company called Redline. It puts out a modest 450hp with 700Nm of torque on tap. A spotlight on this car to follow in a couple of weeks. Cheers!

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

All hail the mighty Dodge! Fans at Road Atlanta Formula D were given a ride of their life in a Challenger as it drifted around a small course piloted by Dodge’s professional test drivers. Full of corners, this course was actually quite fun and one of the main attractions at the event. Thanks to the Dodge booth guys for letting me climb up a ladder and risk life and limb for this shot, you dudes rock.

Last weekend, a good friend and drifter from Luxembourg, Yves Faber invited me to attend the Eschdorf European Hill Race. It rained heavily on Sunday, but I stuck a camera on the car nevertheless. The car is a fox body Mustang with a 6.1l Ford V8. Enjoy!

Vernal Equinox Teaser

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

Stephan Benini from Clash Productions was in touch last week, where he sent us a two minute preview of his upcoming short film ‘Vernal Equinox’. It’s not a motorsport film, but a fictional film that features motorsport, in particular drifting. The brief synopsis Stephane included says that the move is about a young student coming home when he faces an unexpected situation. He then becomes aware of an unexpected challenge. Stephane describes the young man’s experience as surreal.

The idea behind it was to go beyond the ‘usual music video drift editing’ and bring his work to a new level. We briefly talked about his other movie, ‘Titan’ which Stephane says is around 98% complete and will be released later this year.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Stephane’s work and I eagerly await the May 10th release of ‘Vernal Equinox’
