DUB Tour Rolls Into Charlotte Tomorrow
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
I’ve been desk-bound—or um, not—since getting back from SEMA way back in November, which kind of sucks. Last year at this time? I was flying all around the country and seeing all kinds of wicked stuff! Oh well. I went to a bunch of DUB shows last year, and while I never stuck around for the music, I’d make an exception for the Charlotte stop. Lethal Injection was in my CD changer for years, and I’ve never gotten to see Ice Cube live. If you’re in the area he’s worth the admission alone.

Eclipse Car Audio Ford Flex
By DUB Magazine
Custom Car Culture + Style
When Mike West of Eclipse Car Audio was deciding on what vehicle they would use to showcase their newest multi-media products at the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, they once again turned to Rick Bottom Designs (Mendota, Illinois).
Eclipse created and introduced the concept of an integrated navigation and mobile entertainment product at CES in 2004, and they have continued to innovate this category, which is why they wanted a vehicle as innovative in their booth. Bottom was quick to suggest using the hot, new 2009 Ford Flex and West agreed. Continue reading at DUB Magazine

1956 Cadillac Sedan DeVille
By DUB Magazine
Custom Car Culture + Style
Murray Pfaff, owner of Pfaff Designs, is best known as the creator of many of the coolest project vehicle designs (renderings) for other companies and individuals (like Sammy Hagar) to ever grace the pages of major magazines. However, the tables were turned when Pfaff decided to take his classic 1956 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, which he’s owned for 15 years, from rendering to reality, and make it available to his client companies for shows and special events.
So far, “FireMaker” (named because of its two-stage fuel injection system that shoots flames 20 feet rearward) has been showcased at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the 2008 DUB Show Tour in Detroit, the GM Heritage Parade during the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak, Michigan and various promotions and displays by MTX, Goodyear, Optima, Ididit and Street Legal Customs. It was also filmed by General Motors for an online campaign on YouTube, featuring high-profile Cadillacs, when has been viewed more than 13,000 times. Continue reading at DUB Magazine

Spade Kreations 1964 Chevy Impala
By DUB Magazine
Custom Car Culture + Style
Custom car enthusiast Brad Jones, of Cincinnati, Ohio, calls his sweet ’64 Impala “Inspiration,” and for good reason. “When I bought the convertible, my initial idea was to make it a clean restoration,” Jones recalls. “But shortly after I got into it, I had a change of heart and decided to go full custom.”
Full custom is an understatement; there are virtually no totally stock parts left. That’s why it took Spade Kreations (Cincinnati, Ohio) 3,800 hours to create the “roadster,” but it was worth it. In just a few months Jones’ Impala has won the Squires Cup at the 2008 Cavalcade of Customs, 2008 BET Spring Bling Champion and the Hot Rod Industry Award at the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Here are some pics. The wheels would be cool hanging on my wall, but they make the brakes look a little bit insufficient.
