Ultra-Clean LS2-Powered 280Z

By Jen Dunnaway

What I love is how neatly the big GM mill fits under the Datsun’s long pointy hood. Makes it look like the LS2 was made for this car! See more of this beautiful 400hp ride at Mike’s ride page.

32-Second Escort Engine Swap

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

The Royal Marines don’t mess around, and this high-speed motor-and-trans swap makes me wish such things were permitted in the pits in NASCAR. But I call a bit of bs: if the car’s front end is anything like the US Escort’s, you have to disconnect the lower ball joints and swing the wheels way out to plug in the half shafts. But despite the shortcuts, it’s worth a view. Via Jalopnik.

Ferrari Powered Citroen 2CV!

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

Engine swaps are always going to be tricky, and that’s ten-times as true when you plan on monkeying with any of Enzo’s handiwork. But it looks like the guys at Nimik did one hell of a job swapping a 355 motor into an old Citroen 2CV. The way all those Italian ponies look splayed out in the back of the van is one thing, but the way this baby moves—and takes a corner!—is something else. Bellissima!
