Chicago Auto Show: Suzuki Enters Pickup Market

Earlier today, Suzuki debuted its new Equator pickup in Chicago. Based on the Nissan Frontier, the truck will be available with four and six cylinder optionsgood for 151 and 261 horsepowerand is built on a fully boxed frame. While the Equator probably doesn’t have Ford and Chevy worried, it does say a lot about Suzuki’s commitment to having a competitive suite of products here in the States. Recent ads exploiting its prominence in the motorcycle worldwhere Suzuki is a true powerhousealso seem to be a smart decision. How long do you think it’ll be before the company is on the same level as big-shots like Honda and Toyota?
