SpoCom Announces 2010 Dates, Our Shorts Tighten a Bit
By John Naderi
StreetFire.net
SpoCom just released its 2010 schedule and we can already tell that it’s going to be three times as good as last year. That’s because SpoCom added two new venues in Nor Cal’s San Mateo and super sexy Honolulu, Hawaii in addition to Long Beach Convention Center that’s coming back to host this show for a third straight year.
We’re big fans of this show as it’s a mix of Hot Import Nights hype, old school Import Showoff substance and SEMA tradeshow info. We haven’t seen a more pleasing blend since the Reese’s people got peanut butter in their chocolate or perhaps since Donny and Marie mashed up a little bit of country with some rock and roll (silly Mormons!).
Hit the jump to see our StreetFire original video from last year’s show as well as the press release from SpoCom showing the times and dates. You can also visit SpoCom USA for more info.

Toyota Motorsport Festival: Part Two
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
Toyota’s efforts in Formula 1 may have ended, but the final run of their F1 cars sure didn’t hold up the rest of the action during the Toyota Motorsports Festival. Joining the race versions of the LFA, Toyota had a nice surprise for everyone, in the form of a production version of the LF-A, sporting a rather catching shade of matte black. Next to the race cars it sounded much quieter and refined, but it didn’t look any slower when it shot past the main straight. Continue reading at Speedhunters.

Toyota Motorsports Festival 2009, Part One
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
Fuji Speedway is the place to be this time of the year as two of the biggest events of the calendar are hosted at the international circuit. I am of course talking about the Toyota Motorsports Festival and the Nismo Festival, which this year are held within two weeks of each other. This past weekend was Toyota’s turn, which managed to attract a pretty impressive 28,000 people to the freezing race track in order to celebrate the past year’s achievements in motorsport. Formula D Sonoma Wrap Up
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
Although there’s nothing funner than traveling around shooting pictures of cool cars, I have to admit I’m looking forward to the break I’ll have this weekend after five consecutive weeks of events. Perhaps my Miata will get a much-needed wash? Maybe a drive in the hills? Anyways, before the end of the week, I wanted to wrap up my Formula Drift Sonoma coverage with one more batch of random photos from the event. Continue reading at Speedhunters.

Gallery: Back to Action in Seattle!
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
There’s been a lot of business to take care of at our office in Vancouver for the past few months, so it’s been a little while since I’ve been in the field with a camera. But that all changed today, as we just shot at two rather different automotive scenarios, each within a few miles of one another. It all started a week or so ago, when John Naderi from Streetfire.net invited us to a shoot he and Will Roegge were conducting just down the road from Evergreen Speedway in the Seattle area. The Cars at the Callaway Open House
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Over the past several days, I have written a few posts about the Callaway Cars open house that was held at their Old Lyme, CT headquarters in October. While I tried to focus on all of the unique vehicles at this gathering, there was not enough time (or daylight) to interview everyone, as well as photograph all of the breathtaking machinery gathered.
This post illustrates some of the other unique machines that were displayed, including cars that are owned by the company, vehicles about to be delivered to new owners, and others owned by folks that I never was able to track down. Think of this as a historic tour of the event. If you want to know more about the company, go to Callawaycars.com. And I have a bunch more Callaway cars after the jump!
