Clunked F-150 Goes Out With a Bang
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
Most of the videos I’ve seen of car being clunked have been fairly undramatic, but this old F-150 goes out with one hell of a bang. Watching it made me wonder if anyone’s actually been injured while destroying a clunker, because it seems like there’s some definite potential for injury when you’re intentionally blowing a motor. Have you guys heard about anyone getting hurt while putting down a car?

How Many Cars Have You Gone Through?
By Alex Vickers
Katakuna
I’m only seventeen, yet I’ve gone through my fair share of cars over the last few years. My first car was a 1994 Ford Thunderbird LX with a 4.6L V8, sunroof, faded black paint, perfect interior, and enough grunt to make small Hondas think twice. At 200,000+ miles, it ran like a champ, but personal reasons caused me to sell it back to the previous owner.

Front Fascia Conversion!
Chris Borrelli
Searching through the F-Series pick-ups the other day, I came across Keenan’s awesome 2001 Ford F-150, which is very unique. How so? Check it out!

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: the Ford SVT F-150 Lightning
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is, and to see if a truck can fit the definition of muscle car. Previous trucks featured in this series include the Dodge Warlock and Lil Red Express and the Chevy Silverado 454 SS, so I thought it was time to feature a set of trucks for all of you Ford guys. Let’s take a look at both generations of the Ford SVT F-150 Lightning.

What Should I Name My Truck?
By Alex Vickers
Katakuna
My father suggested “Redneck Yard Art,” due to the fact it’s been sitting in his backyard for almost a year now. I thought of a few inappropriate names for it, none of which are appropriate. So what should I call it? What sort of heinous nicknames can you come up with? I’m looking for something funny and sarcastic, but without any expletives. Any ideas?

Finally, I Have My Own Project!
By Alex Vickers
Katakuna
Due to my father being fed up with his 1987 Ford F-150, he gave it to me. I should have realized what I was getting myself into before I started working on it. It caught fire back in November, then sat until a week ago when I started tearing into it. I swear, I’ve not been more aggravated with another project in my entire seventeen years of life.

SVT Raptor Beats the Grand Cherokee SRT8 on CarDomain
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Some people were pretty annoyed with me for this week’s Showroom Showdown. But hey, it’s all in good fun, right? The idea was to put two closely priced vehicles with no real competition up against each other. And the Raptor won, despite the fact that the CherokeeSRT8 forum got in on the act. Nice going Ford. Now Chevy and Dodge have to step up and give the Raptor some competition.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 vs. Ford F-150 SVT Raptor
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Last week I was trying to figure out what to pit against the new Raptor. Seemed like there was nothing out there that really compared. Then I remembered that a month ago I was trying to figure out what to pit against the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Nothing seemed to compare to the burly Jeep, either. Well, now, let’s see… The Raptor starts at $38k and comes with a 5.4 liter V8 which puts out 320 hp and 390 lb.-ft. of torque (sadly, the 6.2 liter V8 won’t be available in the Raptor until the winter of 2010). The SRT8 starts at $43k and comes with a 6.1 liter Hemi that puts out 420 hp and 420 390 lb.-ft. of torque. Both are awesome vehicles that will scare your neighbors. Which would you choose?

America, Truck Yeah!
By David Clarke
highspeedhijinks
Recession? What recession? That’s what I think when I lay my eyes on the two latest creations from Hulst Customs. Meet the “Striker” F-150 SuperCrew and F-350 Crew Cab Dually. Both trucks are rocking their factory powerplants, the F-150 with the 5.4 Triton V8 and the F-350 with its Powerstroke turbo-diesel. Their outsides, however, are anything but stock. See more…
