Forsberg at FD ATL

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

The Keep Drifting Fun guys, Will Roegge and Joshua Herron, released a small film featuring Chris Forsberg, his thoughts and his run down of the second round of the 2010 Formula Drift season. It’s a great insight into the mind of the 2009 Formula D champion.

The quality of films that these guys are producing are really just something else. The opening montage, the in-car shot against Sam Hubinette, and the amazing amounts of bokeh throughout the film all add up to a great piece. What I want to know is what sort of magical peanut butter Will and Josh are consuming, because I want some.

Special thanks to Ignite Racing Fuel, Verdier Racing, and Itzen Media for giving me the opportunity to get a camera inside of a Formula D Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Formula D Round Two Wreck

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

Driving down the infamous hills of Road Atlanta, K. Gushi put his competitor into the wall for a splendid explosion of parts and fabrication. Dirt flying, parts scattering, and broken dreams of sliding excellence; this is what Formula D is all about. Thanks “Goosh” for the great show! Sorry for the “other guy”.

Photo of the Day

By Jen Dunnaway

Today’s pick is from John Naderi’s Formula Drift Long Beach photos. The sideways Mustang is of course awesome, but the Port-o-potty in the background is what makes this shot. Nicely framed! You can check out the whole run of Formula D coverage over in our Events section.  And if you’ve got a great photo you want to see featured in the blog, feel free to drop me a line.

By John Naderi

Was it all a dream or possibly a fantasy perhaps? We just got back from a star-studded Hollywood-style premiere. But the star attraction was not some coked out, starved-for-attention starlet (not that there’s anything wrong with that) but one of our favorite drifters introducing his all-new competition car for the 2010 Formula Drift series. Hit the jump to see more up skirt shots of this sexy beast.

Sneak Peak: Samuel Hubinette’s 2010 Dodge Challenger Drift Car

By John Naderi

StreetFire.net

You are looking at a shot of a 2010 Formula Drift car that almost didn’t happen. Samuel Hubinette, a two-time Formula Drift Champion who finished fourth in points last year had a trying 2009 season to say the least. First was the rather untimely bankruptcy of Chrysler that left his Nuformz Mopar/BFGoodrich team without sponsorship for the majority of last season followed by the tragic death of his team owner, Shaun Carlson just before last year’s FD finals.

But Samuel picked himself up and dusted off the tire bits and is preparing to come back with this 2010 Dodge Challenger that will include sponsorship from his longtime supporters Dodge and BFGoodrich. Samuel will also campaign the car under his newly formed eponymous Samuel Hubinette Racing team. But Samuel won‘t be the only driver on Team SHR as veteran rally ace Andrew Comrie-Picard will drive the team’s iconic Dodge Viper SRT-10. Hit the jump to see more pictures and a rough video of this car, which is very much still a work in progress.

Hit the jump to see a video from the unveil by Bill Wood as well as some of the changes to the car and how Joon thinks he’ll fare in the switch from S chassis to RX.
