The Meanest Sounding IS-F in America
By Steve Neill
Steve Neill
A long time ago, I used to think that a fully tuned RB26DETT or 2JZ-GTE made the best sound. Apparently I was wrong, as Fox Marketing and Artisan Performance have gone out and made what is likely the most heavenly sounding car I’ve ever heard. This puts Ferrari’s to shame no doubt (at least in my opinion), and makes me want an IS-F. CarDomain also got some exhaust clips in this interview with Brian Fox. Now where did I put those investment options…

Lexus IS F Builds at the SEMA Lexus Proving Grounds
I dropped by the SEMA Lexus Proving Grounds to check out the IS F builds we’ve been tracking on CarDomain, and my buddy Brian Fox was there showing off his new Callaway golf clubs. I’ve got a ton of pics of the cars after the jump, and stay tuned for my interview with crazy Brian Fox.

Fox Marketing IS F at Dallas HIN This Weekend
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
On Wednesday I talked to Brian Fox, who was in the middle of driving his Lexus IS F cross country from Pennsylvania to Texas. He’ll have the car at the Dallas HIN on Saturday, and from there he plans to take it to his buddy Kenny Strickler, who will install a Turbonetics GTK350 twin turbo setup. After that the next stop is the Lexus booth at SEMA!

Brian Fox is Building a Lexus IS F for SEMA
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Brian Fox is known for his killer SEMA builds. Last year we had his awesome Focus coupe in the CarDomain booth–and he only had a few weeks to slam that car together. He also built this Altima, which appeared in the Nissan booth. For SEMA 2008, Brian got his hands on an IS F, which will be displayed in the Lexus booth. The car arrived in York, PA a few weeks ago, and Brian has already started tearing it apart–check out his ride page to see his progress on the custom body kit. In addition to Brian’s car, we’ll be following three other IS F SEMA builds, by 0-60 Mag, Import Tuner and MotorWorldHype. So stay tuned!

SoundDomain Sound-Off for 02.19.08
Ever wonder what life would be like without music? I’ve wondered it, but I don’t think I’d ever want to experience it. Music is one of the reasons I got into the Mobile Electronics industry. The gadgets and the cool devices that help make the music in my car and life are only secondary, but they make my job and hobby that much more exciting. I know nothing really beats the sound of a finely tuned engine, but nothing compliments it better than a finely tuned car stereo system. And if I couldn’t listen to music, well, then I guess I’d just hop over to SoundDomain and catch up on the news!
- High-end home audio manufacturer Naim has announced it will provide the audio systems for future Bentley vehicles. Produced under the moniker "naim for Bentley", the system will belt out 1100 watts of pure audiophile power to 15 speakers. How much does the Naim system add to the bottom line of a Bentley? Well, as the saying goes – if you have to ask….
- If you’ve got an old school muscle car or classic cruiser in your garage and you’ve considered upgrading the radio and audio system, your options are pretty slim. Fortunately there are companies like RetroSound that offer the latest technology in a radio package designed to look factory in your retro-rod. USB, MP3, CD Changer controls, multi-color LCD… Get all the modern luxuries in a classic package.
- Blast from the past… Back in the good ‘ol days of Car Audio, Alpine and the Lambo Countach were one of the most recognized symbols in the industry (Alpine still is for that matter). I was digging around the net and stumbled on some oldie-but-goodie shots of this classic car stereo icon.
- Our man "Crazy Like a" Brian Fox is at it again… This time he’s creating a work of art to be showcased at Nissan’s booth at the New York International Auto Show this March. His new project is another Nissan Altima Coupe that will sport the new Fox Marketing 6-piece body kit, 19" Work wheels, and a bad-ass Rockford Fosgate stereo system.

Accord Coupe or Altima Coupe: Which Would You Choose?
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
The two hot import FWD V6 coupes for 2008 are the Honda Accord Coupe and the Nissan Altima Coupe. There were nice examples of each at SEMA–Honda brought this Accord, and Brian Fox brought this Altima. So, which would you choose?

Crazy! Like a Brian Fox!
By John

Personally, I think you have to be a little bit nuts to build a project car using a yet-to-be-released model. Just think about it! The aftermarket isn’t going to support a car which nobody’s gotten their hands on, and there’s absolutely no guarantee the manufacturer will deliver the goods on time. But fortunately, Brian Fox isn’t just a little bit nutshe’s completely insane! Rob met him at SEMA last year, and I can remember him saying something like, "Dude, when I met him, I thought, ‘this guy is psychotic,’ and I immediately wanted to work with him." Well, as it turns out, Crazy Like a Brian Foxas we’ve taken to calling him around the officeis nuts in all the right ways. He built this awesome 2008 Ford Focus in three weeksthen pounded to Vegas from Pennsylvania, and there isn’t a scratch on it. Bravo Brian, you came through in a big way! Thanks to you and everyone at Fox Marketing for delivering such a wicked ride. You are the man! For all the details on the build, watch the video below, where an uncensored Crazy Like a Brian Fox explains everythingat light speed. Hang on.
Here are some more photos of the Focus: photo 1, photo 2, photo 3.
