Terry’s Top Secret G35 Coupe

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

I feature a lot of extreme cars on the blog, but it’s nice to also take a moment to appreciate functional daily driven type builds. This car’s owner Terry has worked with us over the past four years gradually tweaking and improving his G35 Coupe. His car is tastefully done and represents the functional tuning style of a Top Secret inspired street car. Quality is found throughout, including with hidden items like his Zeal Function XS coilovers. There are many subtle mods that show an educated and well thought out style of his gameplan. For example the KS Auto Burnout side skirts, rear under spoilers and the Digna roof spoiler are two rare Japanese imported items that blend nicely into his styling of the car. You might also notice the Gialla trunk spoiler molded into the trunk! The most well known exterior mods of course are the Top Secret front bumper and rear carbon diffuser…no knockoffs either, all legitimate products. Terry supports the scene fully. One look at his garage below shows his passion.

Amoco Ultimate Week 8 Winner: Samuel’s Infiniti G35

By John Coyle

Editor

Sure, this photo of Samuel’s G35 is pretty and all, but do you think there’s enough going on color-wise? Just kidding. We liked it so much we decided to make him our Amoco Ultimate winner for this week, which means we’ll be hooking him up with a $250 gas card. Here’s what Samuel had to say about why he deserved to win:

"I am trying to get into the scene and get a few sponsors so I can take this car to the next level. I’m a Marine and deploy often so I don’t always have time to do things like this. The car is a 2003 Infinity G35 with 35k miles and about 60k of work/parts into it. The majority of the money has been put into the engine, paint, and body work. It still needs interior work but everything else is flawless. Its boost is set at 8psi and is pushing 404whp. The engine is all chrome and looks amazing."

Head over to his ride page and check out all the awesome work he’s done, and make sure to enter the Amoco Ultimate Your Car Is Worth It Photo Contest!

Showoff of the Week: Samantha's G35

By John Coyle

Editor

Samantha has made a laundry list of mods to her G35, and it came out looking super-clean. These babies are good-looking straight out of the box, but I think the Greddy bumper and side skirts make it look even hotter. Of course, not all of the work Samantha has done is cosmetic. She’s added a twin-turbo setup and is planning on taking the car in for tuning soon. Head over to her page and get all the details on this wicked rude!

Import Tuner Cover Car On CarDomain

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

When I blogged about the Import Tuner Tribute to the Troops back in September, I didn’t realize that the cover car was on CarDomain. Turns out that Nicholas has been a CarDomain member since July of 2006. Nice work getting your G35 on the cover, Nicholas!

If you’ve had your ride on the cover of a magazine, drop me a line in my guestbook and let me know!

Every Day, People Get Dumber

By John

Editor

Last night, two idiots in Bellevue, WA tried to film themselves drifting, and in the process, made a couple of little mistakes. The first one? They picked a parking lot next to a State Patrol office. As you can probably imagine, the officers who immediately busted them didn’t have much appreciation for drifting. But the fun doesn’t stop there! It turns out these brainiacs didn’t even own the G35 they were thrashing! The car was property of the local Infiniti dealership where the idiots worked, which was so thrilled with their behavior that it fired them. Get more details from the local ABC affiliate.

Street Parking Sucks

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

If you need another reason not to park your car on the street, just visit Orvil’s G35 ride page. Orvil invested a ton of time and money in his G35 only to have some random idiot plow into when it was parked on the street in front of his house. Sounds like the insurance totaled it out, and now Orvil is trying to sell off some of the performance parts. So if you’re looking for stuff for a G35, check out page 9 of his ride page.

Showoff of the Week: Kevin's Infiniti G35

By John

Community Editor

Going over the top with appearance mods can be easy to do, but I think Kevin has struck the perfect balance with his G35. I’ve always liked the look of this model, and I think this is the nicest examples I’ve seen. Make sure to check out the black and white shots on his ride page—they really do this baby justice.
