Gearhead Living in Hermosa Beach

By Jen Dunnaway

When pondering the question of whether or not I’d want to live in a given locale, it always comes down to the issue of vehicle storage. LA’s Hermosa Beach is pretty, but I’d  have some reservations about parking all my rides in the street on an incline in a drunken-frat-boy part of town. Whoever owns this collection–and I’m guessing, just a hunch, that the trio of tan pickups plus what I suspected to be a suicide-doors Continental under a car cover all belong to the same person–seems to be making it work. Or not? The International camper was slowly accumulating parking tickets, and it’s hard to guess where you’d wrench on anything. More pics below the jump.

Go Big Or Go Home In Texas

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

Texas is a state of “big” ideology. That bigger than life thinking and notion seeps into modern performance and street racing in many ways. Going big with vehicles like a supercharged SRT-10 Dodge Viper, twin turbo Ford GT, Procharged LS3 Corvette, and a GMC 1500 with SRT-10 Viper engine swap means these guys never have to go home. Read more about the Texas street racing scene at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

NYIAS: The New A-Team Van

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

There’s a new A-Team  movie out this summer, and if you grew up on the original series, the ultimate icon for the show was that tough black GMC van. Well, the van is back, and I for one am glad to see that the producers didn’t substitute the original with an Express. This van is so badass, and who knows,  it may very well give the vanner some traction. Well, maybe not. More pics below the jump!

NAIAS: The GMC Granite Concept; Compare this Granite to a Mack Granite!

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

Well, I was at the GMC and Buick press conference, and I really have to say that it was rather pointless. On top of introducing a new version of the Acadia crossover (now with more bling!) and a sportier version of the Buick Regal, the GS (further information on this later), they introduced another crossover concept, the Granite.
