Face Off: Corvette Takes The Win!

By Jen

Editor

This latest Face Off battle threatened to turn ugly, but the owners of both the Grand National and the Corvette piped up in comments to shut down the hate. Classy move, guys! Thanks for playing with such obvious sportsmanship. Glenn will take the free set of tires from Discount Tire for his ‘Vette, but both of these rides are clearly deserving of the recognition they’ve earned. Enjoy!

Congrats!

Face Off: Bad Boy Blowout

By Jen

Editor

For the last Face Off of the season, we’re setting a pair of ultra-burly race cars head to head. Glenn’s ’66 Corvette has a supercharged 426 big-block and a racing history that stretches back to its new-car days; Damon’s ’86 Grand National gets 1200 hp out of a built 355 with a custom-made twin-turbo setup, and gets some unbelievable times at the drag strip. Both cars are insanely built and obscenely fast—but only one will come away a free set of meats from Discount Tire. Vote now!

Twin Turbo Grand National

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

Damon is a Raider fan from Georgia who owns what appears to be the quickest Grand National on CarDomain. The car is powered by a twin turbo Chevy small block which puts out an estimated 1,600 hp. Runs the 1/8th in 5.20 seconds. Oh, and it’s street legal. Be sure to check out his other rides at the bottom of his ride page.
