Just got back from the live unveil of the new SLS GT3 customer race car, which should be through the homologation process in time for next year’s race season. Looks pretty sweet, huh? More pics after the jump, including shots of the street car, which is now officially priced at $183,000.

SharkWerks Attack: New Porsche Track Exhaust System

Porsche’s 997 GT3 and GT3RS sound bad-ass straight from Stuttgart, but when fitted with SharkWerks’ Track Exhaust system, the engine notes are even sicker. The sound of the new unit is derived from the Porsche Cup race cars—listen to the test cars sing on the track, dyno and street!

Hot! 2009 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

Here’s the latest track toy from Porsche, and it can be yours for just $493,392. The new 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine makes 450bhp at 7,800 rpm and the car weighs in at less than 2,700 pounds. And it looks pretty wicked, too. More at Jalopnik

Nike Air Max Light GT3 RS Sneaker, Again

Last week Jalopnik posted a story about Nike and Purchaze (a Dutch clothing and sneaker designer) teaming up to create the Nike Air Max Light GT3 RS Sneaker. Maybe it was a light news day being New Year’s Eve and all, because the story is a bit old. Perhaps one of the ugliest items (remember I like the Panamera) ever penned by the boys from Butzi’s storied design house (assuming they are officially licensed), the sneakers are thankfully limited to a total production of four pairs. That should at least spare us from seeing Dr. McDreamy (aka Patrick Dempsey) romping around in a pair as he heads out to fill up in his Porsche GT3 RS.
