If you’re a fan of the Ken Block Gymkhana videos, you’ll be stoked to learn that he’s teamed up with the Gymkhana Grid series to bring you two live events in 2010. The Gymkhana Grid will be held August 7-8th in Hollywood Park, California and the Ken Block Invitational will be held December 3-4th at Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, California. We found this thread on VW Vortex. Maybe Ken Block has not sufficiently wowed his new Ford partners enough as of yet. Perhaps the economic downturn has slowed the sale of DC Shoes and flat-brimmed hats. Maybe his upcoming gymkhana event series couldn’t find funding (uh, what we mean is, what gymkhana event series?).

Maybe this Craig’s List post is a joke. Maybe it was all just a dream. And maybe, just maybe, this seller is serious. Maybe he – yes, he, because there is no way a woman would do this to her car – is on drugs. Perhaps he’s on some medical grade nitrous, or meth, or maybe even something that we don’t know about. Maybe something that would require an ice cube up the butt. But then, Coyle is only one who would know anything about that.

All we have to say is that to be truly ironic this seller should have applied KB’s Subaru livery to a Ford Escort wagon. Get it? On second thought, it doesn’t get much more hi-lar-ious than the green underglow and hidden trailer hitch. That is, unless you were to release a remix of the original Gymkhana video, with machine guns and Sid and Marty Kroft explosive effects. Yes, that would rock us like a hurricane.

It’s one thing to take a professional driver, an insane race machine, a closed airport and a giant crew to produce something like Ken Block’s amazing Gymkhana videos. But it’s another thing to do it with a beat up Subie, public roads, a bunch of fireworks, a doomed trailer, and your buddies. Of course, doing it the second way is completely illegal, and we can’t recommend anyone try, but IMV Films have, and it’s awesome.  Driver Kyle Sarasin may not have Block’s drifting chops, but he might have him beat in the showmanship department. Bravo IMV Films,  I hope you guys don’t wind up in jail.

Ken Block’s follow up to his classic Gymkhana video has been highly anticipated, and now, the wait is over! So today’s big question? Did he top part one or not? To be honest, I’m not quite sure, but with Hollywood-level explosions, tons of glamor shots of his Crawford Performance Subie, and a cameo by DC teammate Rob Dyrdek, it’s pretty clear he tried damn hard. I think my favorite part is where he uses his rear wheel to snatch a balloon from the dummy’s hand. The way you can see him looking out the window and lining it up is just classic. Enjoy.
