Many Mustang purists would probably prefer any Pony-themed bike be based off a Harley, but as far as performance goes, there are far worse places to start than with a Hayabusa. And while the overall shape of the bike doesn’t really invoke the 1968 Shelby GT500KR that served as its inspiration, the guys at Voo Doo Industries have incorporated plenty of details to give it more of Mustang vibe. Right out of the box, Suzuki’s Hayabusa is a monster, and it’s been the world’s fastest production bike since it debuted back in 1999. Current models weigh 485lbs and come stock with a whopping 194 horsepower, which basically means that twisting the throttle is likely to send unprepared riders into cardiac arrest. But as blindingly quick as this baby is, there have always been complaints about its swoopy, bloated bodywork. For those unmoved by the stock ‘Busa’s lines, BFO Motorcycles in the UK has offered a solution, and wow, does it look mean. Check out how the kit compares to the original styling after the jump.
