Mods? Check. Repairs? Naw.

By Matt Wellumson

Neuwerks

The old story, gotta make the car look and sound awesome, then fix the issues the car has later. While driving down the freeway recently, I noticed this gem of a Civic. Overall a clean example, however the alignment was so off, that the car was dog tracking quite bad!  Don’t get me wrong, I love mods, but I think I would want the car to track correctly (especially with winter coming up) and maybe have a bumper, before I would spend money on new wheels, exhaust, and fresh tint!

CR-Z on TEs

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

Now that the Honda CR-Z is finally hitting dealer lots here in the US, I’ve started to take quite an interest in the little car. I was browsing the CR-Z section of Minkara earlier today when I found this white car dropped on Buddy Club dampers and equipped with 17″ Volk TE37 SL’s. Looks great doesn’t it? The owner of this car also has an awesome AE86 Levin, so you can expect to see some cool things here.

Overheating Problem: Solved!

By Chris Bicknell

Bick66

With its oversized radiator and hand-cut air-intake slot, I’m sure that this Honda Civic is now running nice and cool. But at what cost? The obviously psycho aesthetic touches, like the later-model bumper slapped on with external fasteners and the weird hand-painted dinosaur teeth and lightning-bolt detail around the trim, identify this almost certainly as a tweaker car. See more pics after the jump.

Airbagged Accord

By Alex Quail

Alex Quail

It’s not very often you see a UK-spec Honda Accord sitting so low on polished split rims. This car is definitely unique! It was at a Honda meet I went to on Sunday, and it caught my eye straight away. I’m not usually one for airbagged cars and tucked wheels, but this looked awesome and held my attention for the majority of my time at the meet! It’s pretty rare to see this shape Accord modified (unless its the Accord Type-R that was available for sale here), and its even rarer to see one in a VIP style. Looking at this car, I’d definitely consider one as my next daily driver (although it wouldn’t be quite as low!). You can find more photos from the meet on JT-Culture.

Ikeya Formula Blows Your Mind

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

I’ve been working with Ikeya Formula on and off now for about 7 years distributing their products. Yet I just now discovered something amazing they’ve been working on for a while. I’m blown away by it.

I think you should really see this video first and then read on…

Micro Rat Rod

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

The minute I laid eyes on this little Honda N600 at the Nisei Showoff on Saturday, I knew I had to share it here. In Japan, the Honda N600′s sister car, the N360, helped launch the kei car segment. Here in the states, the N600 helped to pave the way for the game-changing Civic. As for this particular one, it shows every one of its 40+ years on the planet, and that’s part of what makes it so cool.

Another thing that makes it cool is the hopped up two-cylinder under the hood. I once went to an event at Tsukuba Circuit that featured nothing but modified micro cars, and this car definitely reminded me of that. My favorite element of this car and other modified N360′s and 600′s is the way exhaust dumps out from the middle of the front grill. Check out the tiny little BFG “For Racing Purposes Only” tires. How incredibly fun would this be on a gymkhana or autocross course? See more at Speedhunters.
