While driving down the freeway recently, I noticed this gem of a Civic. Overall a clean example, however the alignment was so off, that the car was dog tracking quite bad! Don’t get me wrong, I love mods, but I think I would want the car to track correctly (especially with winter coming up) and maybe have a bumper, before I would spend money on new wheels, exhaust, and fresh tint!

I was browsing the CR-Z section of Minkara earlier today when I found this white car dropped on Buddy Club dampers and equipped with 17″ Volk TE37 SL’s. Looks great doesn’t it? The owner of this car also has an awesome AE86 Levin, so you can expect to see some cool things here.

September 1st 2010 Irvine, CA – Wraptivo™ will produce our very first in house SEMA car in the form of a 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid concept build dubbed “Type-F”.The goal for the Wraptivo™ Honda CR-Z Type-F Concept is to evoke the notion of fun, which lies at the core of the CR-Z DNA while also giving a nod to the spirit and Honda heritage of the CR-Z. The Type-F concept will feature a sportier aesthetic over stock with the use of a combination of Honda Accessories Aero pieces and along with other aero components from Japan. The aero package will be complemented with a design package created to give this concept a special uniqueness yet with a familiarity that is still unmistakably Honda. The vehicle will be wrapped with Wraptivo™ Matte Black and Carbon Black Film while small accents will be left in gloss black. The CR-Z will act as a canvas for Wraptivo to showcase its vehicle wrap options and give customizers a preview of how they can take advantage of this technology as a new way to protect their factory paint while also having the ability to easily change the look of their vehicle.

To increase performance we are looking to develop a supercharger system, suspension package, an ECU Tune, exhaust system, and other components with the help of our technology partners: Honda Accessories, Tein , HKS, BF Goodrich, Volk Racing, Hondata, and others to be confirmed at a later time. Interior enhancements will be subtle but functional. Recaro seats, a sport shift knob, and alcantara panels will be implemented to give the driver a sportier experience for fun filled excursions.

The completed Wraptivo™ Honda CR-Z Type-F will closely resemble the concept rendering created for us by automotive digital illustrator Jon Sibal (JonSibal.com) though as the Type-F Concept is still in the early stages of production the final version may differ from the illustration slightly.

The Wraptivo Type-F Concept will make its official debut at the 2010 SEMA Show in the American Honda exhibit while the Wraptivo designer car wraps by Meguiar’s product line will also be launched at the same global event. Visit booth 24643 (in center hall) to learn more about Wraptivo and the American Honda booth to see the Wraptivo CR-Z. From there it is our intention to test all of our performance upgrades by entering the CR-Z Type-F in Source Interlink’s Super Lap Battle time trial event held the week after SEMA’s conclusion.

Updates on the Wraptivo Honda CR-Z Type-F concept will be available on the official Wraptivo™ twitter page (twitter.com/Wraptivo), Facebook page (facebook.com/WraptivoFB), as well as on MotorworldHype.com, the official online media partner for the Wraptivo™ Honda CR-Z Type-F Concept. There will also be a feature article and pictorial in an upcoming issue of Import Tuner magazine.

It’s not very often you see a UK-spec Honda Accord sitting so low on polished split rims. This car is definitely unique! It was at a Honda meet I went to on Sunday, and it caught my eye straight away. I’m not usually one for airbagged cars and tucked wheels, but this looked awesome and held my attention for the majority of my time at the meet! It’s pretty rare to see this shape Accord modified (unless its the Accord Type-R that was available for sale here), and its even rarer to see one in a VIP style. Looking at this car, I’d definitely consider one as my next daily driver (although it wouldn’t be quite as low!). You can find more photos from the meet on JT-Culture.

I’ve been working with Ikeya Formula on and off now for about 7 years distributing their products. Yet I just now discovered something amazing they’ve been working on for a while. I’m blown away by it.

I think you should really see this video first and then read on…

In the video you’re watching a Honda S2000 being driven with paddle shifters and no clutch. (Naturally I think most of you know, the s2000 was only offered in manual.)

It gets more interesting however…

The design allows for multiple styles of driving with different shift speeds and styles. You can cruise without using the clutch in one mode, or you can race without using the clutch in another mode. The rev matches are all perfectly executed for downshifts and it is all done while RETAINING the stock transmission and clutch. The transmission is the original stock unit.

Ikeya Formula guys are amazing…Watching these videos have blow me away. I really want to experience this for myself!

As for this particular one, it shows every one of its 40+ years on the planet, and that’s part of what makes it so cool.

Another thing that makes it cool is the hopped up two-cylinder under the hood. I once went to an event at Tsukuba Circuit that featured nothing but modified micro cars, and this car definitely reminded me of that. My favorite element of this car and other modified N360′s and 600′s is the way exhaust dumps out from the middle of the front grill. Check out the tiny little BFG “For Racing Purposes Only” tires. How incredibly fun would this be on a gymkhana or autocross course?
