Calming Breezes
By Rob Einaudi

“Have you ever driven a car with air conditioning that creates calming breezes, like a forest?”
Um, no, but I have a car with manual roll down windows. Does that count?

Terry’s Top Secret G35 Coupe
By Ben Schaffer
The Real JDM
I feature a lot of extreme cars on the blog, but it’s nice to also take a moment to appreciate functional daily driven type builds. This car’s owner Terry has worked with us over the past four years gradually tweaking and improving his G35 Coupe. His car is tastefully done and represents the functional tuning style of a Top Secret inspired street car. Quality is found throughout, including with hidden items like his Zeal Function XS coilovers. There are many subtle mods that show an educated and well thought out style of his gameplan. For example the KS Auto Burnout side skirts, rear under spoilers and the Digna roof spoiler are two rare Japanese imported items that blend nicely into his styling of the car. You might also notice the Gialla trunk spoiler molded into the trunk! The most well known exterior mods of course are the Top Secret front bumper and rear carbon diffuser…no knockoffs either, all legitimate products. Terry supports the scene fully. One look at his garage below shows his passion.

Ward’s Surprising 2010 Interior of the Year Awards
Bick66
For years now, Chevrolet has been known for producing vehicle interiors with substandard materials and an overall lack of attention to detail. The fit, finish and quality of even enthusiast cars such as the 4th gen Camaro and the C5 Corvette felt cheap and didn’t match the performance, quality or aesthetic appeal of the vehicle as a whole. This has baffled me since as drivers, don’t we tend to spend most of our time looking at the inside of our cars? That being said, I was pleasantly surprised to find not one, but two Chevrolet models on the list of Ward’s top 10 interiors of 2010. Amazingly enough, the Camaro and Equinox share this list with name plates such as the Porsche Panamera, BMW Gran Turismo and Infiniti M56. Although I don’t really agree with all the cars chosen or the way they’ve been classed, it’s nice to see think that GM might be making some moves in the right direction. Follow the jump for the complete list with categories and pictures.
What new 2010 interior would make your top ten list?

NYIAS: The New Infiniti QX: A Revolting SUV
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Infiniti’s new full-size QX SUV, unveiled yesterday, is possibly the ugliest SUV ever produced. The Infiniti design paradigm really went offtrack with this redesign, with an extra wide grill that only a fish would recognize and a peculiar reverse slant to the D-pillar. The inside is quite inviting, and it’s the best place to be if you’re sickened with the looks of this thing.

Rallycrossing: Let's Get Dirty, Baby!
By Rob Krider
Racerboy
So, you watched Travis Pastrana in his Subaru at the X Games and now you’re convinced that you can get your Mom’s Outback at least six feet off the ground if you were just given a dirt jump and the chance. Well, it’s time to put down your PS3 game controller, turn off MotorStorm, and borrow a helmet. Rallycross is the closest thing you’re probably going to get to the X games without any money or talent.
Rallycross is something YOU can do in your own ride. To learn where, cost, car preparation, adrenaline factor and how to actually win a Rallycross read the rest at Speed Sport Life.

The Gorgeous New Infiniti Essence
Antonio Alvendia
“Oh my god!”
“Simply stunning!”
“That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!”
You can expect to hear people to say things like that when you tag along with the Essence, Infiniti’s new flagship concept car and 20th birthday present to itself, on a mini-tour of the U.S. This is the first that many Americans will be seeing of this 592-horsepower car since its debut at the Geneva auto show back in March. Infiniti FX50 Kills the BMW X6 on CarDomain
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This one wasn’t even close. The FX50 AWD absolutely murdered the X6 xDrive35i on CarDomain in this week’s Showroom Showdown. I think it might have had something to do with the Infiniti’s 390 hp V8. Some people were wondering why I didn’t put the FX50 up against the V8 Bimmer. Simple: the V8 Bimmer costs a lot more. Anyway, we’ll try to get back to enthusiast cars next week. If you have any suggestions, leave a comment.

BMW X6 xDrive35i vs. Infiniti FX50 AWD: Which Would You Choose?
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This week it’s the battle of the yuppie crossovers! The Bimmer’s 3.0 liter turbo inline-6 puts out 300 hp while the Infiniti’s 5.0 liter V8 puts out 390 hp. Both vehicles run in the high $50k range. Which would you choose?
