IS-F CCS Concept Video
By Ben Schaffer
The Real JDM
Video is good for capturing a few things that hi-res pictures just cant do justice to. One of my favorite details that I saw at TAS can be found in the rear wing of this Lexus IS-F CCS Concept (CCS = Circuit Club Sports). So rather than try to photograph it, I decided to take a video to show you how cool it is!
The side plates of the rear wing do something I’ve never seen before. They showcase the IS-F logo in multiple segments of dry carbon yet integrate it seamlessly in a way that blew all of us away. Afterward I was wondering how they did it. My guess is that they used a template and laser cut the pre-preg dry carbon to remove the total shape of the IS-F. Then I’m thinking that they laser cut the components of the IS-F and then re-arranged them all so it fit perfectly before putting it into the mold and then the autoclave. That’s my guess…whatever it was they did, it was brilliant.

Vorsteiner E92 M3 vs. Ventross IS-F
Antonio Alvendia
The BMW E92 M3 and the Lexus IS-F are both shining examples of sports-minded luxury cars. They both project an image of luxury and refinement, combined with engine response and handling suitable for the racetrack.
Not too long ago, I did a shoot with an E92 M3 and an IS-F that were both outfitted with a plethora of aftermarket parts from a luxury sports brand called Vorsteiner. When I was first introduced to the team over at Vorsteiner, it was to photograph their Porsche V-GT project for Modified Luxury and Exotics Magazine back in 2007. The Meanest Sounding IS-F in America
By Steve Neill
Steve Neill
A long time ago, I used to think that a fully tuned RB26DETT or 2JZ-GTE made the best sound. Apparently I was wrong, as Fox Marketing and Artisan Performance have gone out and made what is likely the most heavenly sounding car I’ve ever heard. This puts Ferrari’s to shame no doubt (at least in my opinion), and makes me want an IS-F. CarDomain also got some exhaust clips in this interview with Brian Fox. Now where did I put those investment options…

I dropped by the SEMA Lexus Proving Grounds to check out the IS F builds we’ve been tracking on CarDomain, and my buddy Brian Fox was there showing off his new Callaway golf clubs. I’ve got a ton of pics of the cars after the jump, and stay tuned for my interview with crazy Brian Fox.

It wasn’t an easy fit, but the GReddy supercharger is now installed on 0-60 Magazine’s Lexus IS F. Sounds pretty wicked. I can’t wait to see this thing at SEMA in two weeks.

By Rob Einaudi

Wow, these 0-60 guys have made some progress since the last time I checked out their ride page. They put in a custom cage, upgraded the suspension with some Tein stuff, installed a bunch of Seibon carbon fiber body panels, and now they’re getting ready to bolt on this burly GReddy supercharger. Can’t wait to see how it all comes together.

On Wednesday I talked to Brian Fox, who was in the middle of driving his Lexus IS F cross country from Pennsylvania to Texas. He’ll have the car at the Dallas HIN on Saturday, and from there he plans to take it to his buddy Kenny Strickler, who will install a Turbonetics GTK350 twin turbo setup. After that the next stop is the Lexus booth at SEMA!
