Import Tuner's Lexus IS F SEMA Show Car
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Import Tuner magazine and Tein have joined forces to build the fourth Lexus IS F for SEMA. They’ve decided to focus less on the drivetrain and more on chassis and suspension mods, and lightening the car up. This isn’t just a show car, either. After SEMA, this IS F will compete in the Street Class of the Super Lap Battle time attack finals at Buttonwillow Raceway. Check out Import Tuner’s IS F ide page for more pics and specs, and stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to SEMA.

Hot Sedan Shootout: Lexus ISF vs BMW M3
By John Coyle
Editor
When Lexus released the Lexus ISF, the company knew it was stepping squarely into M3 territory, and apparently, it came ready for a fight. So how do the these two hot sedans compare in a head-to-head shootout? Watch this Fifth Gear clip to see. I was honestly a little surprised…

MotorworldHype's Lexus IS F
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
RJ De Vera and the guys at MotorworldHype are building the third SEMA-bound Lexus IS F to be featured on CarDomain. For wheels they selected Volk TE37s (the shot below is just a teaser–the final wheels will look a bit different from the one in the pic). Then they took the car to Street Concepts, who wasted no time in pulling the interior apart. Be sure to check out their ride page for more pics and details, and stay tuned to the blog for future updates.

We have another SEMA-bound Lexus IS F on CarDomain. This one is being built by 0-60 Magazine (we’ve already started following Brian Fox’s IS F, and the Import Tuner and MotorWorldHype builds will follow). To help lighten the car up, Seibon will be providing a carbon fiber hood, front fenders, side skirts and trunk. And Greddy is doing a custom exhaust setup. Check out 0-60 Mag’s IS F ride page for all the details, and stay tuned for more on this car and we get closer to SEMA!

Brian Fox is Building a Lexus IS F for SEMA
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Brian Fox is known for his killer SEMA builds. Last year we had his awesome Focus coupe in the CarDomain booth–and he only had a few weeks to slam that car together. He also built this Altima, which appeared in the Nissan booth. For SEMA 2008, Brian got his hands on an IS F, which will be displayed in the Lexus booth. The car arrived in York, PA a few weeks ago, and Brian has already started tearing it apart–check out his ride page to see his progress on the custom body kit. In addition to Brian’s car, we’ll be following three other IS F SEMA builds, by 0-60 Mag, Import Tuner and MotorWorldHype. So stay tuned!

Project IS-F by Five Axis
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
I guess I missed this Five Axis IS-F at SEMA, but photos of this car do not do it justice. Mike Musto was really digging the wheel color and is thinking he might use it on his current project. More pics after the jump, including the spec sheet–six inch wide body kit by Five Axis, 20 inch Five: AD wheels, big Brembo brakes, etc. And of course I have a walkaround video.

Melbourne Motor Show: Lexus IS F Lives Up To the Hype
By Ron
aka WayTooFurious
This had to be the most frustrating car that I looked at tonight: no one at the Lexus stand could tell me that much about it. What I do know is that the Lexus IS F will be powered by a 300 kw (402 hp) 5-Litre V8 which will be controlled via an 8-speed direct-shift transmission using paddle shifters. It will sport 19 BBS forged alloy wheels, and naturally it will have sport-tuned suspension. It has a good-looking aggressive stance and it was the only car at the show sporting four tailpipes! The "F" stands for Fuji raceway where the car was put through its paces during its development. Check out this cool promo at the Australian Lexus site.
