Head over to the Forum Wars profile on StreetFire to check them out.
Caption Contest: This Week’s Winner!
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
While I was scanning through my news feed this morning, I stumbled upon this story about a guy who was saved from a pair of muggers by a pack of ninjas. Talk about luck! Props to the ninjas, and let’s hope the thugs learned their lesson. Anyway, this week’s winner is WannaBee119, who came up with; “OK they tranquilized her. Let’s bag and snag boys… them Dodge Rams are going to eat good tonight!” Bravo buddy, tune in tomorrow for the next installment of our ridiculously popular Caption Contest!

He’s a Winner in My Book
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
For drama, it’s hard to beat crossing the finish line upside down and on fire, but Kyle Prokup definitely gets points for style. After he came into the last turn a little too hot during a kart race in the Mid-West, he pulled it out and managed to roll across the line backwards. Who cares what place he came in? Bravo, Kyle. Read all about his racing on his blog.

Insane Trike: Frogman Tim Cotterill’s Rocket II
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
Generally, I’m not a fan of three-wheeled vehicles. There are no naturally occurring “tripedal”—or three-legged—animals in nature, and that makes think it’s best to have an even number of limbs, and by extension, tires. But that doesn’t mean I won’t acknowledge a cool trike when I see it, and “Frogman” Tim Cotterill’s Rocket II is one hell of a cool trike. According to Autoblog, motivation comes from a 1000HP supercharged Hemi V8, but other specs aren’t available. Who cares though? Watch this short film to see just how insane the Rocket II is. via Autoblog

R8 V10 vs. Gallardo!
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
When I watched this, I was more than a little surprised that the Raging Bull gets its ass repeatedly handed to it. What’s the deal here? Every incarnation of the Gallardo has had over 500 horsepower, and the Audi “only” has 525. So why the hell is this such a lopsided match up? Maybe the Audi has a ton of mods? Maybe the Lambo driver just sucks?

Motorcycle Soccer? Yup, Motorcycle Soccer.

This looks like fun. It also looks like a great way to get your legs broken. But what’s life without a little—or a lot—of risk?

Caption Contest: This Week’s Winner!
By John Coyle

Looking at this photo, it seems impossible that the poor van got as far as it did. But I guess you should never underestimate what a lack of braincells can accomplish. Anyway, while I liked some of entires with Star Wars references, this week I had to give it to totalkaos99, who came up with; This is the wrong way to shave your door handles! Funny stuff man! Tune in tomorrow for the next installment of our insanely popular Caption Contest!

Motor Trend Drags the LFA Against the GT-R
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
Neither one of these Japanese heavyweights was made for drag racing, and there’s obviously a huge—like 315K—price difference. It would have been more fun to watch them duke it out on a road course, but this is still an interesting match-up. I got big kick out of the narrator, who said that the LFA’s brakes are “powerful enough to stop the rotation of the earth.” That’s pretty good stuff.

237MPH Evo 2!
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
Last month, Mike Reichen took his insane Mitsubishi out to North Carolina’s Maxson Mile to recapture the title of the World’s Fastest Evo. Notice I didn’t say attempt? Because he didn’t just try, he did. It sure pays to follow Yoda’s advice.
