I think Infiniti knocked it out of the park with this one. Like the coupe, it comes with a 325 hp 3.7-liter V6, and either a 6-speed manual or a paddle-shift 7-speed auto. See more pics and read the press release over at Jalopnik.

Here’s a look at the new Mazda3 sedan, which has broken cover before it’s official reveal at the LA Auto Show. Seems like a nice, sporty little package, though I’m not wild about the front bumper and grill. Tons more pics and details at Jalopnik.

I’ll be the first to say I’m totally bummed that I’m not at the LA Auto Show.  I personally like the LA Auto Show because it’s filled with the ultimate luxury cars and it has this overarching "green" theme that brings out people like the Governator and Antonio Villaraigosa, the Mayor of Los Angeles.  But what’s with the whole preview before the actual media day.?  Mini decided that they needed to show off their all new Mini E a day early so they threw a nifty party on top of the Beverly Wilshire.  I guess it goes with out saying that being regular old media nowadays doesn’t cut it, you have to be on the real inside to get the first look!  For more photos check out Edmunds Straightline.

Hyundai is unveiling their new hybrid technology at the LA Auto Show today. More details from Hyundai after the jump.

Hyundai plans to lead all automotive brands in the U.S. in fuel economy by achieving a fleet average of 35 miles per gallon by 2015, five years ahead of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) deadline, powered by the Hyundai Blue Drive global product strategy.

Hyundai will begin building a gas-electric full hybrid edition of the next-generation Sonata for the North American market in 2010. This Sonata will use a parallel hybrid drive system and lithium polymer battery technology – leapfrogging competitive in-market nickel-metal hydride and planned lithium-ion applications.

Near-term, high mileage “Blue” editions of Accent and Elantra will join the Hyundai Blue Drive family in 2009.

An all-new crossover, shown in concept form with a 2.0-liter Theta turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine, is green lighted for the U.S. market. The engine will appear in various Hyundai models in the future.

Long-term, the Hyundai Blue Drive family will be expanded to include Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV).

The 2010 Nissan 370Z and the 2010 Ford Mustang GT are the biggest stories this week. Yes, the Mustang has more seats, more cylinders, it’s heavier, has a live rear axle, has a bit less hp and will be a tad cheaper, but you know this is an emotional decision, so let’s not get too hung up on the details. Which would you choose?

Ford revealed the 2010 Mustang last night after releasing a barrage of teasers over the last month or so. I don’t know, what do you think? I’m not wild about the changes. I’m kind of thinking it makes the 2005-2009 an instant classic. A bunch more pics at Jalopnik.
