Taking Ratings To The Dyno… Time For Tuning
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
Yep, we’ve heard what everyone has to say and we agree that the ratings system isn’t running 100% so we’ll be testing out some new parts and air to fuel mixtures to see what we can do.
To start, this means that we’re taking out the View Ratings area from the ride page. One thing we found was that when we opened up this data for everyone to see we saw an instant polarity change in the way you all rated each other. Gone were your true feelings and out came unanimous five star ratings to every dang car. In turn this has really thrown things off and we’re not seeing legitimate ratings so we’re going to give it another shot.

Say Goodbye to Groups
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
I’m sad to announce that we are planning to remove Groups from CarDomain in June. We released Groups in 2007, but it never really caught with the community. There have been a few popular groups, some clever groups and number of off-topic and random groups, but none of them are very active. So we had a choice to make. Do we invest considerable time and energy to try to make this feature a success, or do we continue to focus on our core strength—ride pages and member functionality? We chose the latter. We’re sorry that we have to take away a cool product, but we hope that this step will lead to a better overall experience for all of our members. Stay tuned for more cool features, and of course, we always welcome your input and feedback.

Changes To Your Guestbook
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
For a long time there have been about 5 pages involved in managing your guestbook so we’ve decided to go ahead and simplify this. From now on you will manage your guestbook from the ride page. If you someone left a rude comment all you have to do is click the delete button.
Let us know what you think.

With all the free sticker requests coming in, it’s apparent that we need to explain what a SASE is. Look at all these envelopes we’ve received without a SASE!

We're Doing a Little Work on the Blog…
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Hi guys, we’re doing some work on the blog today. We’re ripping out the crappy Lucas wiring, reflashing the ECU and installing canards. We’re also gonna take the restrictor plate off to give the red dragon some more juice. But let’s keep that on the down low, cause it’s not exactly street legal.
So is the blog working for you right now? Leave a comment and let us know!

Where Do YOU Shop For Parts and Cars?
By Ryan Porter
Marketing Guy
I don’t know about you guys, but I browse cars for sale about every day. I hit eBay and Craigslist looking at Porsche 911′s even when it’s a unrealistic car for me. The fact is I love browsing cars that are for sale, but there is something funny about these two sites—I’ve never bought a car from either one.
Out of all the cars I’ve bought used, I end up finding them on AutoTrader.com. I don’t really know what it is, but I prefer Craigslist for my browsing pleasure because of the free-form layout. I don’t really look at a car for sale unless it has images, and I prefer to contact members by e-mail.
When it comes to part shopping, I find most of my items on model specific auto forums like AudiWorld or Smart Car of America and sometimes eBay. But what about everyone here at CarDomain, what type of car parts and vehicle marketplaces do you prefer? The more feedback and insight the better!

Want Stickers?
By Rob Einaudi

People keep hitting me up for CarDomain stickers. Want ‘em? Then just send us a SASE! That stands for Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (which means you mail us an envelope with your address and a fresh new $.42 stamp if you’re in the United States). And yes they are free. And no you don’t get my new GTX Hot Wheels!
