Lingenfelter’s Latest Trans Am

By Chris Bicknell

Bick66

Much like the first Lingenfelter 2010 Camaro-based Trans Am conversion, they’ve brilliantly managed to bring the essence of the early 1970′s Trans Am into the fifth generation.  With the Pontiac nameplate having been put to rest, the odds of a production Trans Am are slim to none, but this is one way that Pontiac lovers can keep the dream alive. Under the hood you’ll find an LSX block sporting a very appropriate 455 cid, and an impressive 11.5:1 compression resulting in a healthy output of 655 horsepower and 610 lbs ft of torque.  This badass machine is currently running with the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour.  See one more picture after the jump, and read more over at LSX TV.

If you made it to this year’s SEMA show, then you know there was no shortage of 2010 Chevy Camaros on display. From mild to wild, tuners have embraced the reborn muscle car with great passion. One Camaro in particular caught my attention with its design, performance and build quality. It was no surprise to find out this was the latest creation from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. Check out the full specs of this 750hp LS7 powered monster. While there, be sure to check out Adam Carolla’s CarCast video with Ken Lingenfelter.

Lingenfelter Camaro Unveil

By Jen Dunnaway

Earlier today in the Hotchkis booth, I watched them pull the cover off Lignenfelter’s burly new 750 hp Camaro. Powered by a supercharged Corvette Z06 LS7, it’s both track tuned and streetable, and comes loaded with suspension goodies, including adjustable front and rear sway bars and eliptical aluminum tubing chassis bracing to eliminate wheel hop and other flex-related issues. The Camaro is both badass and ultra refined-looking–I thought the orange 20′s were a nice touch to what otherwise might seem like a fairly button-down demeanor. See video of the reveal below the jump!

By Rob Einaudi

Last year at SEMA there were a bunch of Challengers dressed up as ‘Cudas. So it shouldn’t be too surprising to see some Camaros dressed up as Firebirds this year. This 455 Trans-Am concept from Lingenfelter looks pretty cool. I’m looking forward to seeing it next week! A few more pics after the jump, and you can learn more about this car at Car and Driver
