Justin’s Datsun 610 Wagon

Car Culture At Large
I have to admit that my eyes tend to glass over whenever I see an ultra clean car. The car may be done up correctly with appropriate ride height, wheel fitment, clean body work and everything else we appreciate on Speedhunters but I find there’s something quite impersonal about being perfect. Owners of clean cars tend to tweak over the smallest details when something isn’t as clean or as perfect as they want. I find a lot of these car owners start to lose the enjoyment of owning automobiles. What’s the point of owning a play car if you can’t enjoy actually owning it? Continue reading at Speedhunters

"The Standard" of the Slammed Miata
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
This past month we’ve seen a whole slew of automobiles dropped to insane lowness. This Miata is no different. This car is like the crispy cornered pieces of brownies that only a select few actually enjoy. And just like any good brownie recipe, the best ones are always the most simple.
Let’s be honest here: this car is as Mazda OEM stock as possible. The engine still retains the stock 1.6L. The exterior additions to this car has been a Mazda OEM front R-Package lip, rear R-package lip, and a OEM hardtop painted glittery silver. Really, the only things not stock is the now rare RSR GTII ExMag exhaust system, Jackson Racing Header and the Boss Frog roll bar. Continue reading at Speedhuners

That 240Z
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
Let’s put all the cards on the table: this car is ridiculously stupid. The build quality is shoddy, the care that has been given to this car is questionable, and the ride height is by no means produced by a human with a single ounce of rational thought. Why would you take a prized relic such as this Nissan 240z and completely ruin it, turning it into some pretentious piece of metal that serves no function other than itself? Ernie Manansala's Dream SC400
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
Many of us dream (with me pleading guilty on all counts) of one day owning a Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Pagani, Lamborghini, or Bugatti. But, if you think realistically, a whole many of us, will never own a real luxury car or a real exotic, supercar or hypercar. All that exquisite luxury, with a seemingly infinite amount of power, soul, and passion comes at a terrible price –quite literally, at that.
Enter Ernie. Like many of us, Ernie would love to own a super car, hyper car, mid-life crisis car, but he’s come to the realization that, really, it is almost impossible. He’s a guy that has worked on and built countless amounts of race and show cars (mostly SC400s). He’s seen much soul and passion in his days, but he’s never actually been able to possess such qualities in a car that is his very own. This car is Ernie’s dream car. It embodies his passion and love he has for his favorite car, the Lexus SC400 (or Toyota Soarer for you super car nerds out there). Continue reading at Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large
Just imagine that you’re a racing driver. On the weekends, you drive some of the most top notch Porsches all over the world, and at all the hottest tracks in the world. You’ve driven the likes of Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring, Laguna Seca, Sebring, Fuji Speedway, and Monaco in your racing career. But after a weekend of living at one hundred miles an hour, what car do you go home to? You need a car that is luxurious, smooth, classy, and has a air of high speed elegance to it. This Audi S5 modified by GMG Racing is a perfect candidate. Continue reading at Speedhunters

Tommy Robert's Ricetastic S13

Car Culture At Large
Take a moment to gander at the utter ridiculousness of this car. It is stupid slammed, it is has a set of absurdly vulgar wheels, an equally ludicrous body kit on it, and on top of all that, an absolutely silly gold flake paint job. This Nissan 240sx, in all conventional wisdom, makes absolutely no sense and should never have been crafted. Continue reading at Speedhunters

TRA Kyoto Drop Top S15 Silvia
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
Take an S15 Silvia convertible, give the car proper stance car, add a dash of 19″ E66 7 series BMW wheels, and sprinkle some Tra Kyoto magic, and poof! You get a flavor of S15 that has not been tasted by many. And so I ask, how does it taste?
