Sketchiest Tow Load?
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
I’ve subjected my Eagle to some pretty rough-service towing for a 30-year-old midsize wagon, including a U-Haul trailer across the country, and a loaded tow dolly through the mountains, including taking off from a clutch-roasting dead stop on a straight-up-and-down incline. But since Eagles are unkillable, it has survived its towing ordeals just fine. Not sure I could say the same for this poor overloaded Miata, squatted down like a lowrider under an overweight and precarious payload. Good thing an airplane fuselage and lumber aren’t the heaviest things one can haul, but it looks like they’re taking a toll nonetheless. Via ThereIFixedIt.
Ever towed or hauled anything sketchy in your ride? How did it hold up?

Cute Product Alert: Rotary Cufflinks

Perfect for that Mazda-loving Dad in your life. Wait… does anyone actually have a Mazda-loving dad? I hope not, because these appear to be one-offs created by this weird jeweler, so your dad can’t have them anyway. Via Jalopnik.

Mellow Yellow RX4
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
One of the cars that stood out at Rotorstock was this beautifully restored RX4. I often hear people complain about how poor the style of Japanese car design is but I really like the shape of the RX4. In some ways it reminds me of the Ford Capri and in others of American muscle of the same era. I particularly like the removal of the B-pillar, something we can see today in the RX8.
The car has been painted in what appears to be the same yellow available on the RX8. Yellow is a very difficult colour to get right on a car, but this shade perfectly suits the RX4. I’ll have to say that I’m a fan of modern colours on classic cars. Continue reading and see more pics at Speedhunters.

Truck Drifting: Mazda BT-50
By Alex Quail
Alex Quail
Hey guys, I’m Alex Quail from Drifted.com and this is my first post on the CarDomain blog. I’m a big fan of rare/unorthodox drift cars (or trucks, as the case may be), so when I first saw photos of this awesome Mazda BT-50, it quickly became one of my favourites. Although I’d style it differently, and the ride height isn’t particularly to my liking, the truck still appeals to me. The fact that it still retains the original 3.0 litre diesel engine is pretty amazing, and I doubt I’ll see many other BT-50s drifting any time soon! This truck definitely has presence and I applaud the builders for choosing something different. (More pics and info after the jump!)
