CSP311 Silvia

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

While at Sodegaura the other weekend I was lucky enough to get shown this spotless first generation Nissan Silvia by its owner. The car was still running the first license plates it was ever issued, a rare thing to see in Japan. The original Silvia badge. Looking at such a classic and historical car, I couldn’t help but think it’s a real pity Nissan has no intention of bringing the Silvia back to the masses. With only the Mazda Roadster and upcoming FT86 in the affordable front engine/rear wheel drive market, it would seem a viable enough plan. See more views at Speedhunters.

Aggressive Aero Design Looks Like This in 2010

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

This is what the Veilside Supra combat style kits of the mid 1990s have grown up to become. Although my style preference has turned somewhat away from ultra aggressive aero design in recent years I still really enjoy looking at this car. Ab Flug’s Vanguard Z34 370Z manages to somehow reconcile the difference between between hardcore racer and mature design. Most importantly however from my point of view: the design is unique and represents yet another original Japanese vehicle design.

370Ztune.com Sponsored 1000hp 370Z Build

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

We’ve been involved in this crazy 370Z build and I’m excited to leak some behind the scenes visuals on the car. Here is a video shot today after the completion of the Zele aero kit installation. I’d like to thank my friends at Zele for their support with this project.

The car features a GTM 1000hp 4.5L motor with dual GT35R turbos. We’re helping out with the build and hoping to finish up the car soon for some media features. Congrats to the owner Mike from Georgia for the great ride!

The Sheikh’s Black Spider

By Karan Singh

StreetFire.net

What’s a guy to do with a garage with over 200 cars? Why not build this ridiculous transforming Nissan Patrol? We can’t figure out a credible explanation for the design, other than to possibly assist in climbing sand dunes. But whatever the case, this Nissan, dubbed the “Black Spider,” is pure insanity. Where does a guy even buy white-wall off-road tires anyway?

Driving the Nissan Leaf

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Two years ago, Bob Lutz came to Seattle to tell us about the Volt. At that time I no idea Nissan was working on an electric vehicle and had never heard of the Leaf. Fast forward two years–both the Volt and the Leaf are very close to production and will be rolled out in a few states starting in December. But Nissan is getting a jump on the PR game by making their pre-production vehicles available to journalists. And for some reason they invited me to come drive one.
