Which of Your Cars Is Most Likely To Get Ticketed?

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

Forbes has released a list of cars most likely to get a ticketed, and while many of the candidates aren’t surprising at all (Hummer H2, VW GTI, Grand Prix, AMG Mercedes) the red-Corvette stereotype does not seem to hold true at all. Still, what’s with all the Toyota products that made the list? In any case, it’s no big surprise that what car you drive has an effect on how you’re treated by the cops, and how much of a dick you are in any particular vehicle probably factors in, too. I tend to get harassed by cops the most in my AMC Eagle, I think because it’s loud and kind of jacked-looking. Due to its stance and the way it lunges around, you can’t help but look like you’re driving it aggressively even when you’re not, and it’s got the dirtball-appeal that makes cops double-check for anything that might be amiss.

How about you? Do you tend to get more grief from the cops in any one vehicle more than the others? See the complete Forbes list here.

Police Crush Another Street Racer

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

In Australia, police crushed a known street racing offender’s vehicle that was deemed a public danger. Unlike Canada’s preemptive crushing policy, this offender was caught three times street racing before being sent to the “Crushinator”. Do you think street racers should be crushed preemptively, the first time they get caught, or after a three-strike offense, or not at all? Read more about the crushing at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

Taser Used At Scraping The Coast 2010

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

Don’t tase me bro! A third gen Camaro owner was cited for a burnout and pushed the officer just a little too far. Doing a burnout yet again after being pulled over according to the YouTube witness, this dude was straight up asking for trouble. He then ignores the officer, gets out of the car, and gets a fat fingered shocker right on the asphalt. Was the taser appropriate for this situation? Comment below and read more at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

There are a ton of really beautiful photos of Scott’s Corolla on his ride page, but this one rules because it shows that our gearhead brethren in New Zealand love taking pics of themselves getting jacked by the cops just as much as we do.
