Lego My Porsche?

By 993C4S

We’ve seen Porsches made of wood, a Porsche made of chocolate, we’ve even seen Porsches made from Legos before. However, this is the first time we’ve seen a Lego Porsche with working suspension. This Lego Porsche 911 seen below is from the well known Lego geniuses, the Arvo brothers (at least well known within the Lego community).

I Know It’s a Turbo Because it Says So Right Here on the Dash

I’ve seen a lot of Porsche video reviews before, but this is by far the funniest. Here’s what I want to know, what exactly is that accent?

Porsche Joy Ride #Fail!

By 993C4S

Porsche Purist

I offer a simple piece of advice for all aspiring drivers out there; If you’re going to steal your dad’s Porsche, be sure you know how to drive it! As a side note, it would be great if the reporter could pronounce Porsche correctly and tell the difference between a 911 and a Boxster, but maybe that’s just me…

Lithium Ion Battery Powered Porsche GT3 RS

By 993C4S

No, no, no. It’s not what you’re thinking. Looking to shed a few extra pounds, from an already lightweight set-up, Porsche gives buyers of the 2010 911 GT3 RS a new “electrifying” option. At 22 lbs lighter than a conventional led-acid battery, Porsche’s optional Lithium Ion power pack is designed with the track in mind.

With a normally aspirated, 3.8 liter, 450 HP (that’s 15 more horses than the normal GT3), 8500 rpm redlining engine, expect this beast to be tearing up the local track of anyone that can afford the almost $140k entry fee. For more info, check out the full release and details on the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

The Panamera Push

By 993C4S

The launch of the Panamera is getting closer and closer. In just a few weeks, the new five four door will be available to the general public at home in Germany. Not too long after that (September time frame) they should start showing up at a Porsche dealer near you hear in the States.

Not unexpectedly, and of great benefit to enthusiasts like me, Porsche is putting a big push behind the launch with press events, new Panamera pictures, videos, etc. The video below is the latest from Zuffenhausen that does a great job showcasing some of the incredible new technology offered in the Panamera. Can you pick out some of the new features that are prominently subtly displayed in the video below?

The Porsche Way!

By 993C4S

Leave it to Porsche to create a 2 1/2 hour “film” documenting their storied history. Released today, The Porsche Way provides an insiders view of the achievements of Ferdinand and Ferry Porsche and progresses from decade to decade (over eight chapters) on the development of the famous sports car manufacturer.

Using footage from more than 5000 hours of archived films, races, commercials and interviews, the DVD presents a number of never before scenes of the Company, the product and Porsche motorsport.

The only catch to all this? If you want to buy the DVD, you’ll have to take a visit to the Porsche Museum in Germany as that’s the only place it is currently available (price is about $35 US). Let’s hope it makes its way to Amazon sometime soon.

Evolution of the Porsche Speedster

By 993C4S

There are times when a picture is worth so much more than a 1,000 words. In my opinion, this is one of them. Today, we were working on a photoshoot at SloanCars to document the evolution of the Porsche Speedster. If you can’t tell, that’s a 356, a 930 and a 964. See the second pic after the jump!
