Yesterday I posted the awesome 1971 Road Runner van photoshop, done by Capsule from the Road Runner Nest. Well, here’s another one of his cool chops. Someone needs to build one of these rides. Two more after the jump!

Photoshop? Or not? Courtesy of VWVortex.

Update: I have confirmed that it’s a photoshop done by a Danish member of the Road Runner Nest who posts as “Capsule.” I just did a follow up post with some of his other awesome chops.

2011 Plymouth Road Runner

By Rob Einaudi

Yeah, Plymouth is long gone, and who knows if Chrysler will be around in two years. But we can dream, right? I saw this rendering by Austrian artist Michael Leonhard in the new issue of Hot Rod. It’s not on his site yet, but I found it on his MySpace page. He did a Superbird, too. So what do you think? Hot or not?

What Are Your Top 5 Semi-Realistic Dream Cars?

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

I’m not talking about Lambos and Veyrons. I’m talking about cars you are actually planning (scheming?) to acquire in the vaguely foreseeable future—let’s say in the next six months to ten years. But let’s leave daily drivers out of this. Also, you don’t have to own all of them at the same time (though of course that would be nice). But if you’re like me, it’s probably gonna be tough to limit yourself to just one or two. Limiting yourself to five is work enough. So anyway, here’s my list.

1. 1968 or 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Ideally I’d want a post car with a black bench seat interior (a 4 speed would be cool, too, but pricier and harder to find). I prefer the ’68 cause it’s my birth year, but ’69s are a bit more plentiful and just as cool. Obviously I’m talking 383 cars cause the 440-6 cars and Hemi cars are WAY out of my league. Doesn’t mean I couldn’t get a crate Hemi or build a A12 clone later, though…

See my next four picks after the jump!

Mike's 11 Second Road Runner

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Last week I showed you this tough GTX. Well, here’s another flat back ’69 B-body for your consideration. Mike bought his Road Runner for $500 at a police auction in Long Beach, California back in 1986, and he’s been taking it to the drag strip ever since. Be sure to check out his ride page for a ton of great details and pics.

What's Your Favorite Mopar Emblem?

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

I’ve always been partial to the Demon emblem with the upside down pitchfork (which many considered sacrilegious when the car came out), but I also love the Road Runner and Super Bee. But I took a ton of pics of Mopar emblems on Sunday. Check ‘em out!
