By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
Any of you guys that are into watches probably know the name Rob Montana aka “The StrapSmith.” Well he never stops when it comes to innovation and bringing watch straps to life and his all new BMW M strap with custom buckle is a beautiful exhibition of just that. Now if we could afford a nice Panerai to go with it. You can see more of “The StrapSmith” at his website.

Griot’s Garage Steps Up The Detail – New Flagship Store
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
Late last year I fell in love with a car on the cover of the Griot’s Garage catalog. Wanting to know more, I ended up on the Griot‘s Garage’s blog, where I saw a story about their all new “barn find” of a building.
Now, I spend massive amounts of time in my garage, and I have a knack for taking way to much care of my car (if that’s even possible). And when Weston and I had the opportunity to tour Richard Griot’s private garage last year, I was pretty blown away. So I couldn’t wait to see what Richard Griot and his team had in store for their new building.
Continue reading after the jump to see how this “barn find” building got finished out, with build images and pictures from the big open house party over the weekend.

Why I Can’t Afford a Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
I took the Hyundai Genesis Coupe out for a couple days and am starting to think that I can’t afford to own one. We were provided with the nice 3.8 Track version, which is the sportiest of the offerings, but for a guy like me it still lacks what I really want in a sporty car. Here is a list of mandatory modifications that I’d have to complete in order to own this car:
1. Stiffer suspension – The car has too much weight transfer and too much lean.
2. Lightened flywheel – I can’t exactly describe it, but the transmission is lacking. Quick shifts are nearly impossible to fire off and at low RPMs it feels like the tranny has too much weight to turn over. I’m thinking a lightened flywheel would help with getting the power sooner and might delay the hang time between shifts.
3. Wheels – Very few OEMs get the wheels right, and rather than making the car these take the car back a notch and remind you once again that it’s a Hyundai.
Overall I actually really enjoy the car and I’ll admit that I’m somewhat finicky, as you can tell by the wide variety of cars I’ve owned.

What Are Your 2010 Car Goals?
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
I don’t know about you but I tend to make a lot of goals for myself each year, and this year seemed to have a bunch of car-related goals:
- Don’t buy any more cars
- Buy a motorcycle
- Limit my modification allowance to $1,500
What car goals do you have?

Personalized Plate or Stock Plate
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
I’m thinking about getting a personalized plate for my Porsche but at the same point I can’t get what I really want. The rules here in Washington don’t allow you to mimic convention Washington state plates, and since I want RWD-993 I’m SOL. How about you guys, do you rock personalized plates?

Fresh Detail For the Ride
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
I know it’s the middle of winter and all but when you get a “new to you” car you’ve got to make it yours which includes fixing anything that bugs you, fresh fluids, dents pulled, and some genuine TLC. Well a visit to Gerber Motorsport and to NorthWest Auto Salon and we’re almost there!
Oh and a big thanks to the entire NorthWest Auto Salon crew, you guys make the NW one of the safest places to drive your car year-round.

Rough Sunday With The Porsche
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
Saturday I installed some HID headlights on the car to improve nighttime visibility. And while all seemed well after the installation, while I was on my way to dinner last night the driver’s side went out. I pulled over and immediately popped the headlamp out, because I was hoping a connection had just popped out. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and I went on the rest of the night with just one light. When I got home I popped the bonnet to give it another look but decided to go to bed since I was tired and it was real cold in the garage. So that was Saturday night, hit the jump to see how my Sunday turned out.

HellaFlush III Meet: In California Of Course
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
All the cool shit happens in California (except SEMA, but all the cool shit at SEMA is from California). Anyways this past weekend was the 3rd HellaFlush Meet hosted at Blacktrax Perfomance in Milpitas, CA. Apparently the place was packed and there were over 1,500 people who showed up with cameras in tow, fresh Nike Dunks, and crisp dark denim jeans. I’m just kidding on the whole get-up, but I’m pretty bummed that I wasn’t in attendance. I love the Hellaflush, almost-flush, and flush setups and can’t believe the crazy style that goes into these rides. Best of all it’s a melting pot of autos just like CarDomain. Hitting an all BMW meet is fun and all, but it’s really nice to get together with a crazy assortment of cars.
Check out more coverage of the HellaFlush meet over at Fatlace and at So Steezy’s Flickr.

Thinking About Selling Your Car? Check Out eBay Local Classifieds
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
When you want to sell your car you have to think about exposure. I doubt any of you would just put a For Sale sign on the window and call it good in this day and age. Of course not, we have tons of great resources that help you get rid of your car like your favorite forum, AutoTrader (various listing fees apply), eBay Motors ($125 when it sells) and now eBay Motors Local Classifieds, which is free! Yes, you can now list your car on eBay and get the increased exposure for free. On top of that, if you’re a buyer there are some cool things, too. Every car that is listed gets an AutoCheck score so you don’t have to pay for it. No other service provides this to you for every single car in the system.
Well enough of that. If you are in the market for a 2009 Audi A5 S-Line take a look at mine. It’s for sale on eBay Motors Local Classifieds! Maybe eBay will give me a badge to put on my ride page since it’s for sale!

Change Your Wallpaper at CarDomain and Everyone Goes Crazy
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
I thought it was time for a new desktop wallpaper so I decided to toss up the Weismann GT. I found the car by surfing a wallpaper site a while back and it was one of those cars that makes you immediately right click and Save As. Anyways the second I swapped it out both Rob and Weston started going crazy. So tell, do you love it or hate it?
