I guess Conrad Grunewald didn’t do so well on Saturday, but still, the car looks hot. More video and pics after the jump!

Formula D Seattle This Friday and Saturday
By Rob Einaudi

Kind of snuck up on me this year. Anyway, I’ll be out at the track tomorrow during practice and qualifying, shooting pics and ultra low-budget video. More info on the Seattle event at FormulaD.com. Here’s some stuff I shot just walking around the pits last year.

Earthquake Simulation: Alaskan Way Viaduct
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
I was in the both the Loma Prieta earthquake in the SF Bay Area in 1989 (6.9 on the MMS) and in the Nisqually earthquake in Seattle in 2001 (6.8 on the MMS) and have to say the Seattle quake felt a lot more violent to me (I was roughly the same distance to the epicenter in each). So needless to say, I take earthquakes seriously. Not to mention the fact that just this weekend I had fish and chips right next to the red barn in the middle of this video. Anyway, we’re having a contentious mayoral race in Seattle right now and the two candidates are arguing about what to do with the viaduct. And then someone puts out this video showing some damage very reminiscent of the Interstate 880/Cypress Viaduct collapse during the Loma Prieta quake. Hmmm, coincidence? Anyway, watch and enjoy–those of you who don’t live in earthquake land (though I’ll take a quake over a hurricane or tornado any day).

Toyota Prius Under Attack in Seattle
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This happened just a mile or two from CarDomain World Headquarters, but honestly, we had nothing to do with it. Perps driving “a loud throaty-sounding SUV” smashed in the windshields of several Priuses in the Ballard neighborhood on Saturday. Story at My Ballard.

Galpin Auto Sports Air Force Challenger at Seattle Formula D
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
We posted pics of this car back in June, but when it popped up at Seattle Formula D, I thought it was worth a quick video. The car got some pretty strongly worded comments when we posted the video on StreetFire last week, including this from 2carlos8
Ok, I am a Sgt in the US Air Force, and I cant watch this without getting pissed! We have to hagle with leadership for supplies and equipment but yet can afford to build MONSTROSITIES like this. as you can see from my profile pic I own a SRT8 Chally and cant figure out why they’d jack-up something that was already stunning in its own right. That money could have been spent on my boys in the sandpit!
So, do you think the Air Force should have commissioned this car?

Formula Drift Seattle, Part 2
Antonio Alvendia
Here’s a real dope R32 Skyline 4door that came from British Columbia (that’s Canada, to those of us who are ignorant Americans). More photos of this car coming soon! It’s so cool that you can register a car like an R32 Skyline, A31 Cefiro or C33 Laurel and just drive it on the street, legally in Canada. What the hell are we still doing living in Southern Cali, anyway? (Who am I kidding, I love Southern Cali…) Continue reading and view more photos on Motormavens
