CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: the 1990-93 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is, and to see if a truck can fit the definition of “muscle car.” I featured a Dodge Warlock and Lil Red Express a few weeks ago, so this is the second truck in this series. But how can you argue with a beast that has a 7.4 liter (alright, 454 cubic inches) of pure V8 brawn under the hood of a normal looking, workable truck? Let’s take a closer look at the original SS Sport Truck, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 454 SS. Continue reading after the jump!

Do You Like Rock Band This Much?
Neuwerks
For you diehard Rock Band players out there, Chevrolet has your ultimate setup in the form of a totally tricked-out Silverado. This mobile Rock Band entertainment system features lifted suspension, four doors, a trusty 4WD system, and enough subwoofers to crack the moon. All of these features combined together will let anyone get their game on almost anywhere!
Besides the amazing integration of the video game setup, there were some other interesting details such as the guitar neck shaped external mirrors, and copious use of police-style lighting throughout the entire truck. This interesting contribution to the show was a working proof of concept showing that you can truly take your Rock Band setup almost anyplace you like!

SEMA Trucks!
Well, we’re here, and check out this row of four bagged trucks parked out front. I love this green and white Silverado by Matrix Systems. And the Ram next to it by Demented Customs is pretty sweet, too. A ton more pics after the jump.

Million-Mile Silverado Listed On eBay. Only $30,000!
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
Back in February, Dave blogged this Silverado just as it was approaching the million-mile mark. Now, the owner’s listed his trusty work truck on eBay, and he’s got dollar signs in his eyes. The seller’s explanation for why he thinks the truck is so valuable is kind of convoluted and long, but it basically comes down to this: the truck was featured on NPR’s All Things Considered. And while it’s been through five transmissions, the valve covers have never been opened. Worth it? Even if you think so, you might not be able to bid—the truck is "offered to collectors," and only "pre-approved bidders" need apply. Check out the auction—the feedback he’s gotten in the Q and A section is pretty hilarious. Do you think the starting price will be met?

Ram vs. Silverado: Too Close To Call!
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
I just went through all the comments and the Ram vs. Silverado match-up is definitely too close to call. This is the second tie we’ve had in the Showroom Showdown (not counting the Aveo vs. Rio battle). So what’s CarDomain’s favorite full size truck? We can’t say for sure. Maybe we should put the F150 up against the Silverado. If the Silverado beats the F150 then we’d still have a tie on our hands, but if the F150 beat the Silverado, we’d have to give the overall win to Dodge (Dodge beat the F150 in a prior match). Hmmm, let me ponder this a bit. In the meantime, I think we need to get back to cars. What do you guys want to see in the next Showroom Showdown?

Silverado Crushes the Tundra on CarDomain
By Rob Einaudi

The Silverado beat the Tundra by a 3 to 1 margin in our latest Showroom Showdown. That means it gets to face the Ram in our "final" full size truck match up. We’ll hold that next week, so stay tuned.
