Big Block Thursdays Tonight on Speed
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
It might be kind of hip to hate TV, and there tons of people who’ll tell you that the only reason they have cable is because it’s super cheap when bundled with internet. They are lying. Personally, I love television, and since I also love cars, I wind up watching a lot of Speed. Anyway, tonight they’re kicking off Big Block Thursdays, where Pinks All Out, Jacked and Wrecked will run back-to-back. I haven’t actually seen Jacked, but I like the idea of tracking down stolen rides Cops-style, so I imagine it’ll be pretty cool. And since I’m already a fan of Pinks and Wrecked, Big Block Thursdays should prove pretty entertaining. While this would make perfect “hangover TV”—think Saturday mornings at 10—everything starts tonight with Pinks at 8PM. If you’re home, check it out.

Don't Forget to Watch Bullrun Tonight
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Bullrun Season II officially kicks off tonight on SPEED at 10 PM EST. Some people were asking if we were going to do a contest again this year, where members who correctly guess who gets eliminated have a chance to win swag. Well, it sounds like a bunch of you already got a sneak peek at the first episode, so we’re gonna hold off on that contest til next week. But Mr. Angry is gonna try to blog his reaction to each episode on Fridays, so stay definitely tuned for that!
Also, with the help of Andy Duncan and the folks at SPEED, we put together ride pages for all the cars in the show. Well, it turns out that Tony and Teresa already had a ride page on CarDomain for their awesome Solstice, so be sure to check that out as well!

Are You Ready for Bullrun Season II?
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Bullrun Season II starts tomorrow and we now have ride pages for all the cars. There are definitely some hot rides this year. I love the Dart, the GT500 and of course the Ferrari. But I think the Pantera is my favorite. Which is your favorite? And who do you think is gonna win?
Don’t forget to tune in to SPEED Thursday February 19 at 10 PM EST!

Q & A with Bullrun's Andy Duncan
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Last week we announced that Bullrun Season II is on. They are casting NOW. On Friday I shot Andy Duncan an e-mail with a bunch of questions about the new show. Read his answers below.
So this has been a long time coming. Are you excited about the new show?
So long coming… I won’t bore you with the details. We’re really excited about season II, we’re neck deep in pre-production right now but it’s great getting most of the original crew back together from season I. We’re like one big dysfunctional family.
Why did it take so long to get the second season off the ground?
Where do I start? We’re seriously going to write a book about our experiences with this show, it’s been a real roller-coaster ride in every sense. What most people don’t realize is it took over 12 months to do the deal for the 1st season of Bullrun. First off dealing with lawyers (not all of them) slows everything down, it’s like swimming in maple syrup. Basically this is the problem: Los Angeles + TV Networks x Lawyers = pain.
Is the format going to be the same as last time?
There are a few changes but obviously I can’t tell you. Everyone will find out in the first episode. The basis of show is essentially the same as it’s based on our original rally, which is always going to be 80% of the show format.

SoundDomain Sound-Off for 02.08.08
It’s Friday again and I am so ready to get my weekend started. I have speakers and kick panels calling my name, just waiting to get installed in my car. But that all has to wait until tomorrow morning… So I guess until then I’ll go ahead and catch up on the SoundDomain news:
- Rearview/back-up cameras are pretty common these days, but frontview cameras are pretty new. This mirror could turn your weekend canyon cruising into a Hollywood moment, or it could save you from taking blame on your next fender bender (videos and pics available)!
- Don’t you hate it when you spend $45,000 (or more) on a new BMW and then when you drive it off the lot it hits you that you forgot to order the factory navigation option! Man, I hate that! Well, don’t worry… To prevent buyer’s remorse BMW is giving folks in that predicament a free BMW Garmin Nuvi360 with a custom BMW mounting system.
- If you’re going to be in the Biloxi, MS area June 21-22 make sure to stop by the Gulf Coast Coliseum for the Scrapin’ the Coast/Deep South Nationals show. Last year there were over 2000 cars and trucks, and the show was named Mini Truckin’s "Show of the Year" for 2007. We’ll be there shooting the event just in case you can’t make it.
- The Kenwood DNX8120 was by far our favorite radio at CES this year. We told you all about it in our CES Coverage, and now we have a demo video hosted from Kenwood showing off all the 8120′s cool features and functions. Man is this thing SWEET!

Wicked Solstice Crash
By John
Editor
This wreck is from Speed’s reality show Set-Up, and boy, does it look burly. But with all the safety equipment in that Solstice, the driver probably walked away. Since the crash was so dramatic, it kind of makes you wonder why the editors felt the need to hack it up with all the jump cuts. What’s the deal?
