CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot – The 1973 Chevy Chevelle SS Wagon
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to another installment of the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the definition of what a muscle car is, and to discover hidden treasures while doing so. During the 1970s, the age of the fire breathing muscle car was quickly coming to an end, though there were several surprises. One such surprise is the first station wagon that wore the heralded SS badge. Introducing a true paradox, the 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle SS station wagon.

Nostalgic Camaro SS To Pace 2010 Indy 500?
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
There’s been a slew of 2010 Camaro pace cars in the last year at high-profile motorsports events like Indy and the Daytona 500. The Sprint Cup series ran the ultra-hot Cyber Grey Camaro in a number of the races this season, and it’s become a welcome part of race-day scenery. However, I haven’t seen a pace car at the as hot as this retro-styled SS, made over by KAO Auto Styling as an update of the 1969 Camaro SS that served as the Indy 500 pace car that year. While this one obviously isn’t a convertible, the tribute was pitch-perfect: I love the louvered rear window and the nostalgic fender badging. The graphics indicate it’s going to be the official pace car for next year’s 500 on May 31, but the “For Sale” sticker suggests it’s probably just a concept.

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: 2006 – 08 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS and Impala SS V8
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is, and to see if a FWD car can be called a muscle car. I must be out of my mind for doing this post, after the last drubbing I received for the 2005 – 08 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, but here I am, trying to convince you that a couple of other GM cars, with a 5.7L V8 can be considered being inducted onto the Parking Lot. So let’s see if the 2006 – 08 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, and the Impala SS can be considered an obscure muscle car.

2010 Camaros Popping Up on CarDomain
Gotadime
First, the 2010 Mustangsstarted showing up and now we’re starting to see the 2010 Camaros. I went and looked at the new Camaros and Mustangs last weekend and I must say, they’re even more stunning in person. A 2010 Mustang GT just moved into my neighborhood last week and I got to take it for a spin. That’s when I realized that the pictures truly don’t do the car justice. Be sure that you head over to take a look at Bobby’s gorgeous yellow 2010 Camaro SS and check out the 2010 Camaro listings on CarDomain often—I’m sure that you’ll see more pop up daily.

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: the 1990-93 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is, and to see if a truck can fit the definition of “muscle car.” I featured a Dodge Warlock and Lil Red Express a few weeks ago, so this is the second truck in this series. But how can you argue with a beast that has a 7.4 liter (alright, 454 cubic inches) of pure V8 brawn under the hood of a normal looking, workable truck? Let’s take a closer look at the original SS Sport Truck, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 454 SS. Continue reading after the jump!

On eBay: Incredible Twin-Turbo SEMA Corvette
Bick66
There isn’t much that gives away this ’69 Vette as a 1200-horsepower supercar–its slightly modified original C3 body and refined stance are only somewhat undercut by the implied performance of that through-the-fender exhaust. Take a closer look and you’ll notice that the body is concealing a twin-turbocharged 565 cubic inch powerplant cradled by a tubular chrome moly frame and modern Corvette suspension. Now, in my opinion the C3 Stingray is the most beautiful shape ever dreamt up, so I might be a little biased–but you can’t argue with 1200 hp nestled in such a perfectly updated package of modern features. I’m tempted to call this 2008 SEMA show car the most incredible custom Corvette I’ve ever seen. The guys at S/S definitely outdid themselves with this one.
More pictures after the jump, and check out the eBay auction here.
