Smashing Pumpkins
By Jen Dunnaway

I guess I don’t quite understand why people like to destroy old cars at county-fair type situations, but it’s a tradition that’s been going on as long as there’s been rubes to gape at stuff getting wrecked. In any case, this junk Pontiac might have deserved better…

As with so many pranks gone wrong, the funniest part is the way the people behind the camera react. Turn it up and listen.

It’s not the most impressive jump, but it is impressive that it was even attempted in such a vehicle. The guy’s boss probably won’t think so, though.

Ghost Riding Makes CBS News
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
It turns out that one of our favorite things to make fun of is a “deadly teen trend.” The newscasters bring to bear families of dead kids, brain-damaged kids, and a whole slew of home videos that you’ve already seen right here in the blog, to make this crucial point: ghost riding the whip is a potentially fatal form of hoonage. What Not To Do With A Skateboard
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
There’s this weird law of physics: if a skateboard can collide with a car, it probably will. While the best advice is always to move your car before there’s any chance of damaging contact, there is of course plenty of youtube evidence of car-skateboard encounters that do not end badly for the car. Only this: if you’re going to attempt an ollie-over-car, please do not do it with a nice vintage vehicle. Nobody minds a few idiots or skateboards sacrificed–last time I checked, they’re still making plenty of both–but jeopardizing a mint four-door Torino? That was a bit difficult to watch…
