We’re not entirely sold on the aesthetics of the car–clearly the most remarkable thing about it is the engine compartment. Wow!

Project Biting the Bullitt: a 1000HP Mustang Build
powerTV Media
Currently, this Mustang is equipped with a virtually stock 170ci inline six cylinder. We’re all about keeping things fresh here at powerTV, and one of those ways is by creating interesting project car builds. We are proud to announce our next project build (which is actually one of my personal cars) called “Biting the Bullitt.”
The name is two fold. It could be perceived as Biting on the original Mustang Bullitt, driven by Steve McQueen, that was actually a Highland Green 1968 Fastback–with the only resemblance to our Mustang being the faded dark green paint. The real premise behind the Mustang build to show the fine line that we walk between a simple build, reliability, and all-out horsepower.

Go Big Or Go Home In Texas
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
Texas is a state of “big” ideology. That bigger than life thinking and notion seeps into modern performance and street racing in many ways. Going big with vehicles like a supercharged SRT-10 Dodge Viper, twin turbo Ford GT, Procharged LS3 Corvette, and a GMC 1500 with SRT-10 Viper engine swap means these guys never have to go home. Dragon Corvette Is Getting A Procharger
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
Yep, a forum-dweller at ChallengerForumz just happened to spy Evansville, Indiana’s most tastefully embellished C6 Corvette in the shop getting a Procharger blower installed. If this is true, then the ‘Vette isn’t just someone’s throwaway hooptie after all–Procharger kits start at around $6500 retail, and if you’re having it installed in a shop you’re forking out even more. The supercharger should bring the C6 into the 600hp range, making its owner possibly the world’s fastest meth addict. But wait, I thought meth addicts spent all their money on… meth? I’m going to have to amend my diagnosis to schizophrenia, which would account for both the bizarre exterior mods and the grandiose performance upgrades. Follow the jump to view the incriminating photos, via Jalopnik.

The CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot Year End Wrap-up: The 1950s Cruisers
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the year end wrap-up of the Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot. If you recall, this series was all about uncovering obscure makes, and redefining what a Muscle Car could be. We have discovered that Muscle originated during the 1950s, blossomed during the 1960s, and continued on through the 70s and 80s in a somewhat de-tuned state only to find a re-birth we are enjoying today. My focus was not to highlight the already established Muscle Cars like the Chevelle SS, the Pontiac GTO, or the Hemi Chryslers, but to find hidden gems that you may not have known about.

So it is now up to you, the Car Domain reader, to vote on your favorites. There will be specific categories, like today’s example, the 1950s Cruisers. In the end, sometime after the New Years Holiday, there will be one car crowned as your favorite Obscure Muscle Car, and park it in the Parking Lot, with a few CarDomain Members rides highlighted.
So what was your favorite 50′s cruiser from the Series?
- The 1957 Rambler Rebel, defined as the one car that started the Muscle Car Period.
- The 1958 Packard Hawk, with it’s Supercharged V8, and were very rare.
- The 1957 Pontiac Bonneville, the car that ushered in Performance at Pontiac.
- The Studebaker Golden Hawk, with either a Packard Big Block, or a Supercharged Small Block.
- The Fabulous Hudson Hornet, a car that virtually dominated NASCAR during the first half of the 50s.
- The 1957 Supercharged Fords (Called the F-Series), which included the Thunderbird, and at least one Wagon!
- The Dual-Ghia, with Chrysler Power, and Movie Star Panache.
- The Dodge D-500, with rip snorting power, and huge tail fins!

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: The 1963 – 64 Studebaker Avanti
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to another installment of the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the definition of what a muscle car is, and to expand your mind while doing so. Avanti is an Italian word for forward, and was probably the perfect name for the newest Studebaker coupe that was introduced in the fall of 1962. The design had many design firsts that later became inspirational factors in future cars during the next two decades. Key features include a long hood and short deck, popularized by the Ford Mustang: grill-less front end, which was popularized a decade later with other performance oriented cars, a glass fastback rear, picked up for the Plymouth Barracuda, and other vehicles, as well as other styling touches, too numerous to mention here. Lets just say that when the Avanti was introduced, it looked like nothing else on the market. But is it a muscle car, and does it deserve a place in the parking lot?

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: the 1957 Ford (Supercharged) F Series
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is, and to see if a Supercharged bomb can be included. Ford was fighting for dominance at the stock car tracks throughout the country, and was neck and neck with it’s crosstown rival Chevrolet. Little did anyone know, Ford had an ace up it’s sleeve. Lets discover the 1957 Ford Supercharged “F” Series. And no, that was not the truck!

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot – The 1956 – 58 Studebaker Golden Hawk
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is, and maybe to drop the hint that the muscle car’s roots can be traced back a lot further than the range of years that we generally think of these cars as coming from. It has been over 50 years since the Studebaker Golden Hawk graced America’s highways. Since Studebaker is no longer in business, can we now ask if the Golden Hawk is or is not a muscle car? I think it’s worth taking a look. Introducing the Studebaker Golden Hawk.

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: The 1958 Packard Hawk
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is. Today’s featured car is that last of the once great Packard line of cars, but by this time they were nothing but glorified Studebakers. Let me introduce you to the 1958 Packard Hawk.
