Which of Your Cars Is Most Likely To Get Ticketed?

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

Forbes has released a list of cars most likely to get a ticketed, and while many of the candidates aren’t surprising at all (Hummer H2, VW GTI, Grand Prix, AMG Mercedes) the red-Corvette stereotype does not seem to hold true at all. Still, what’s with all the Toyota products that made the list? In any case, it’s no big surprise that what car you drive has an effect on how you’re treated by the cops, and how much of a dick you are in any particular vehicle probably factors in, too. I tend to get harassed by cops the most in my AMC Eagle, I think because it’s loud and kind of jacked-looking. Due to its stance and the way it lunges around, you can’t help but look like you’re driving it aggressively even when you’re not, and it’s got the dirtball-appeal that makes cops double-check for anything that might be amiss.

How about you? Do you tend to get more grief from the cops in any one vehicle more than the others? See the complete Forbes list here.

Draw Your Accident Online

By Katherine Helmetag

Atomicalex

Bad things happen, and you get in an accident. You need to draw a picture of it to help your case, but you have zero skills with a pen and paper. Enter the internet, specifically accidentsketch.com. This tool helps you get the facts on paper (screen?) so you can plead your case with Johnny Law. It’s fairly easy to use and produces good quality drawings. What are you waiting for?

Caught On Camera: My Virtual Brush With The Law

By Chris Bicknell

I knew this day would come sooner or later–my first “Photo Enforced Intersection” ticket arrived in the mail yesterday.  My moroseness about the fine was all but overcome by excitement over the opportunity to log onto photonotice.com and watch a video of my 2005 Corvette blowing through an intersection. I did indeed fail to stop at a red light, so I should just pay the fine, right?  I don’t think so.

Read more and watch the video after the jump!
