CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: The Best of 2009
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a series where I describe what I consider to be a muscle car, and where you either agree or disagree with me. It has been a fun year last year, and in December I ran a series of posts in which I asked you, the reader, to select your favorites by decade. Well, it’s time to reveal the best, and to do a final vote. Think of it as the Superbowl of Obscurity.
Continue reading (and vote!) after the jump!

Fireball heads to CBS for MOVIE CARS!
By Fireball Tim

Wow, what a cool day of shenanagans. (Is that spelled right? Like, does it matter?)
It’s pretty wild and fun to see a movie car at a show, but to see 30 of them at once was over the top! Way early, I headed to CVS to pick up my ride (The Fast & Furious Charger) and join up with several guys there. My buddy Bob brought in his original TV Series General Lee, Frank in the F&F Hot Rod Truck and a Tango & Cash beast.
We hung out all day at CBS with the likes of Adam Carola, Autoweek supereditor Mark Vaughn, KABC’s Dave Kunz and even Sophia Loren! Yes, she digs cars. (And no, I didn’t take a picture with her, but shot our new episode.) That will premiere at the end of the month. But, big thanks to Ken Latka and Tim Wong of TMPCC for hosting and Nate from Star Car Central for bringing the bad boys of movie cars. So, nuf’ of the wurds… On with the show…

Hollywood and Star Cars Invade Golf Classic
By Fireball Tim

What a spectacular event!
This past Friday was “THE WORLD FAMOUS MALIBU GOLF CLASSIC” where hundreds of people converged for fun, golf, cars and babes. Hollywood Stars even rose from the grave to attend this puppy! And with great sponsors like REACTOR WATCHES, LEI LANA, DUKES OF MALIBU and BIOMETICS, the festivities rocked.
There was a performance by the hot new artist Hannah Mulholland, Megastar Humphrey Bogart (Celebrity Impersonator, John Tobin) and a slew of MOVIE CARS from the bad boys of STAR CAR CENTRAL. They brought in cars from Starsky and Hutch, Herbie, Vanishing Point and Adam 12.
All in all, a wild event with Golf Kart Drifting and awesome play action. A “Fireball Tim’s WORLD OF CARS” episode will appear here in the coming weeks, but check out last year’s episode here.

1968 Torino GT 390 on eBay
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
This 1968 Torino GT 390 hit us in the gut as we’ve recently admitted to ourselves that we have a super soft spot for these cars.
This particular example is a nice piece. It’s not some super rare, one of none car, instead it’s a solid car with the right stuff like a 335hp Police Interceptor 390, a 9″ differential with 3.25 gears and a factory limited slip, bucket seats and a C6.
This is a car you could jump into and have a blast with immediately, our favorite kind (but strangely the ones we never seem to buy). Dad was apparently fixin’ this one up for his kiddo, but college bill started flowing in, so it’s up for sale. Grab it and start putting the FE torque to work!

Fords At Carlisle: Starsky and Hutch Torinos!
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
I counted ten of the Starsky and Hutch mid-70′s Torinos at the All-Ford Nationals this year, hanging out in their very own special section. Seeing them all together makes you realize that, even for rides purpose-built as replicas or tribute cars, there’s ever-so-slight variations paint-shade, markings, etc. With his ’73 Ian Rosen seemed to be going for hardcore authenticity—his car even got hired as a promo vehicle for the Toronto and Montreal premieres of the Starsky and Hutch movie in 2004. It’s got a 351 Windsor a Carter AFB 9600 carb and Flowmaster duels. And the Starsky and Hutch badges on the dash are a nice touch! More after the jump.

Fords At Carlisle: Bloodbath!
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
Donald Gromling wanted to try something other than the traditional flames when he did paint on his cool ’68 Torino, and the splashy-looking red graphics he chose kind of give it the look of the world’s most badass Red Cross mobile blood bank! Tubbed and caged, it’s running a 347 stroker and can get 11′s in the quarter-mile. More pics after the jump.

Coolest Car Dealership: MotoeXotica
By David
aka Highspeedhijinks
In the State of Missouri, you’ll find one of the coolest dealerships in existence. MotoeXotica has been around since 1988, selling classics, exotics, and various motorcycles. They have been reaching out to online audiences far beyond the bounds of their regional customer base, featuring their most desirable cars through the Hemmings classifieds, and as of recently, eBay Motors. The inventory of this place is huge for a dealership that sells mostly older cars. A few of my favorites are the 1979 Alfa Romeo convertible, the very rare 1970 Ford Torino Esquire Wagon, and a car whose 15 minutes of fame is long over: Project Switchblade, the lawnmower Mustang built by Jesse James on Monster Garage. This was the very first car completed by the now-defunct show. There’s something here for everyone—check out MotoeXotica’s inventory and tell us your favorite!
