A Dodge No More: Behind the Wheel of a Freightliner Sprinter

By Jim Brennan

I had the opportunity to road test the Freightliner version of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, and came away quite impressed. With this morning’s announcement that makes it certain that Dodge will be losing the Sprinter, Freightliner dealers will still be in the hunt, along with select Mercedes-Benz Dealers.

My 1983 Chevrolet Eldorado Conversion Van

By Jim Brennan

While a large number of cars are showcased within the CarDomain community, along with a few choice pickup trucks, the full size van seems to be ignored. I just happen to own one of these ignored behemoths, so I thought it was time to show you the Danger Van, otherwise known as my 1983 Chevy Eldorado Camper.

2009 Australian Van Nationals

By Ron Honig

WaytooFurious

Sunday was an interesting day. My friend John and I decided to check out the 2009 Australian Van Nationals. Unfortunately we were rather disappointed. The number of spectators and vans was low for a national event. I think that the organizers failed to take into account the fact that people don’t like going to car shows when they are held in dust bowls. On the plus side I did manage to take some interesting pics that you can see after the jump.

The Van: Creepy or Just Plain Cool?

By Mike

AKA Mr. Angry

I am a big fan of vans. I’m not talking about the modern minivans of today, but the great vans of yesteryear. Mainly those of the late 60s and early 70s. Vans in general fall into one of two categories: creepy or cool. My wife seems to think that all vans, regardless of the year, make or model are just plain creepy. I disagree–I think that vans have gotten a bum rap over the years. When many people see an old van they conjure up visions of teenagers in the back, fully ablaze on illegal substances. Others see them as solely purpose built vehicles–load em’, lug it and unload em’, end of story. I just love them and think they’re just plain cool. Just take a look at Julie’s Dodge A100. Simply put, this thing is COOL. What do you think?

CarDomain member spikekid999 put a ton of cool Mopar pics on a ride page and one of them is of this hilarious van. Then one of my Mopar buddies send me a pic of the other side.

Shame This Isn't Real…

By John

When I stumbled across this allegedly tricked out Voyager, I was really excited—for about ten seconds. Completely ridiculous vehicles are some of my favorite things to blog about, and a 600 horsepower Voyager more than fits the bill. In my defense, it’s not like performance-oriented Mom-mobiles are completely out of the scope of reality. Remember the the ManVan? But of course, this is a total fake—just look at the horrendous PhotoShop work! Anyway, I still got a kick out of the page. I love how the computer has been "remapped, rewired and bypassed." Funny stuff, TJ.
