Sweet Revenge: British Tenants Give Clampers the Boot!

By John

Walking out to your car and finding that it’s been booted—or worse, towed—can be a traumatic experience. The really awful part? There’s often nothing to be done other than pay company responsible—whether you feel like you’re in the right or not. Maybe that’s why this story of resistance seems so inspiring. After a group of English tenants found that their vehicles were being molested—in spots assigned to their units!—they didn’t mess around. They barricaded the blokes responsible into the parking lot, and stood their ground until the situation was resolved—five hours later! Power to the people! Get the full story from thisislondon.

Knight Rider Movie Premiers Sunday

By John

This is easily the best Knight Rider commercial yet. The part where the truck t-bones KITT and he doesn’t even flinch? Two words: bad and ass. So I’m actually kind of stoked to see the movie on Sunday. Sure, it’s not going to be the greatest thing ever committed to film, but I’m figuring that after a couple of beers, it’ll be a blast to watch. Honestly? I just hope the Hoff makes a cameo, and that there’s some mention—like, any, mention—of KITT’s evil twin, KARR. Otherwise, I don’t really care what happens. What do you want to see? And do you think NBC will actually make Knight Rider into a weekly series?

Vigilante Makes Crosswalk, Goes to Jail.

By John

After local authorities refused repeated requests to paint a crosswalk in front of a stop sign near his house, Whitney Stump took matters into his own hands. Using a spray can and white roller paint, he made a crosswalk himself, which pissed the city off. Big-time. After officials found out, Stump was charged with criminal mischief, and locked up for ten days. While it’s understandable that government agencies don’t want people painting all over their roads, criminal mischief hardly seems like the right charge here. If anything, it seems vandalism would be most appropriate, as modifying something to compel people to obey the law seems neither criminal nor mischievous. Get more info from the local ABC affiliate.
