I’ve been watching the builds that come out of Vivid Racing for a few years now, and when Dan and crew picked up this 997 Turbo I knew we were in for a treat. I loved the original color since day one, but with the recent body wrap in flat blue, I’m doing backflips! How about you? What color do you like on VividRacing’s 997 Turbo?

Vivid Racing Opens Facility in Texas

Our buddies over at Vivid Racing just dropped us a line, and while the majority of it was spent rubbing our Northwest noses in all the great BBQ and Mexican food we’re missing out on in the Lone Star State, they did manage to squeeze in some info about their new Houston location. Local customers who’ve ordered hop-up parts online—think Brembo, HRE Wheels, Clutch Masters—will be able to pick them at the new distribution facility, and Vivid has partnered with local wizards DriverSource to insure that folks looking to get their new goodies installed will get top notch service. Vivid Racing GT-R in Flat Red

Dan from Vivid Racing shot me an e-mail yesterday. They just got their GT-R back from paint—now it’s flat red, with the roof, hood, and bumper accents done in flat black. Next up are Agency Power intakes and intercooler pipes, along with full carbon fiber engine trim and dash trim. More details and pics at Vivid Racing

Vivid Racing GT-R

Here’s another build that we’ll be following in the coming months—the Vivid Racing GT-R. Vivid Racing picked up this GT-R for $81,000, so I guess prices for these cars are coming down. Maybe it has something to do with John’s rants about Big Brother Nissan.

2008 Vivid Racing Subaru WRX

I’m happy to report that Patrick Ernzen of Desert-Motors is going to start hooking us up with some of his killer automotive photography (you may remember the 246 Dino I had in the blog last year). To give you a taste of what he is capable of, here are some pics left on the cutting room floor from a recent Subiesport article on the 2008 Vivid Racing Subaru WRX. This car was first shown at SEMA last year, and has a whole host of mods, including a turbo kit, exhaust, coilovers, control arms, intake manifold, fuel rails, ECU tuning, big brakes and wheels and a custom aero kit (full details at Vivid Racing). Look for Patrick’s SECC Cars and Coffee shoot in our Events section in the next few days. And we have a ton more photos of the WRX after the jump.
