Fireball's "Cool Designs of the Week"

By Fireball Tim

Movie Car Design Master

As with most weeks, I got cool stuff sent to me. “Hey Fireball! Whatta ya think of my (fill in the blank).” And with that kinda traffic coming at me, I get the privilidge of seeing the best of what’s out there. Sort of.

Well, not all of it is lip smackin’ goodness. Some of it is downright cheese of the Limberger nature. But, without more dumb explanation, here’s what’s cool in design this past week. And no, you can’t buy the Phat Boy Can from me. It’s on “special order” from Iceland.

THE BUGATTI BORDEAUX

Big and beautiful, but they’re only building them for the richest MoFo’s on the planet. So, if we get to “see” one, it’ll cost about 10K.

Perana Z-One

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

To me Italian style and American power is a marriage made in heaven. The Perana Z-One was designed by Zagato and has a Corvette LS3 under the hood. The car will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month and the price is expected to be around $75k. More at Jalopnik

1965 Flavia Sport Zagato on Craigslist

By John Coyle

Editor

Italian styling house Zagato has designed stunning cars—for Aston Martin, Alfa-Romeo and Ferrari—but I don’t think this Flavia Sport is one of them. Seriously, am I high on crack, or is this thing just ugly? I didn’t even think cars this hideous were allowed to be made in Italy. Don’t they have fashion police over there? Anyway, if you’d like to own this rare bird, the owner wants 30 grand. Check the Craigslist ad for more info.

Geneva Motor Show Highlights From Road & Track

By John

Editor

At the Geneva Motor Show, you can’t throw a rock without hitting some excruciatingly expensive exotic, so if you go, don’t throw rocks. Right now, our buddies from Road & Track are across the pond covering it, and from the looks of these photos, they’re having a blast. They sent us sick shots of all the hottest stuff on the floor—like the KTM X-Bow Dallara Edition pictured below—and they’re making editorial wish we weren’t stuck at CarDomain World Headquarters. Check out all the pics they sent after the jump, and for complete info on all these rides, check out the Best of Geneva slide show over at Road & Track. All photos by John Lamm, Road & Track.

Bentley Continental Zagato GTZ

By John

Editor

Looking at Zagato’s GTZ Bentley Continental reminds me of a conversation a friend of mine and I had about a little Italian place, and its amazing roasted red pepper penne. I said, "Italians sure know how to eat." His response? "Italians know how to do everything." This car is so gorgeous, it almost makes you forget what the original looks like, and it’ll probably look even better when it’s on display at the Geneva Motor Show. Check out more pics after the jump.
